I'm afraid to watch Interstellar, I don't really like Sci-Fi anymore, can you give me a basic impression of the film?

 

I actually am not really fond of Sci-Fi as well, but Interstellar is just something out of this world (no pun intended)!
It's basically about these astronauts who travel to another galaxy, and attempt to find life on planets there. Why they do it and how they do it is simply amazing. It's not unrealistic at all, it attempts to portray everything in the most realistic manner, and gives the person watching the film to think a lot, and reflect on what else is out there.

I probably made no sense..it's an exceptional movie though, and I'd definitely recommend you to watch it, it'll be worth it. It's directed by Christopher Nolan, and the soundtrack by Hans Zimmer; you can almost never expect failure from those two.

I promise it's worth it, please do give it a try!

My favorite movies though:
1-5: All Fast and Furious, even though there's more than 5

 

Casablanca, Brazil, Every Stanley Kubrick film, Eraserhead and the rest of Lynch's films, F for Fake/Citizen Kane, the works of Akira Kurosawa, the works of Alejandro Jordorowsky, Luis Bunel, Jean Luc Goddard, Birth of a Nation, The Godfather films. So many many more.

 

Which shining would it be? The Jack Nicholson one or the 3-part one? Ah, and I also like the departed/inglorious bastards. Talking about Nicholson: one flew over the cuckoo's nest

Do you consider One flew over the cuckoo's nest to be classical like the ones you mentioned? Oh and of course, clockwork orange is a brilliant movie too, but when I saw it I felt so depressed, the atmosphere of the film is just pulling you down. I guess it's because I find it very similar to Orwell's 1984.

 

One Flew Over is a good film. I would consider it a classic. Clockwork Orange is one of my favorites, but not my favorite Kubrick film. That position is reserved for Dr. Strangelove.
