Anyone have time to review a replay or two? (Irelia/Vlad, High Silver NA)

About to make the push to Gold, tried posting these replays over on /r/summonerschool but it didn't get a lot of attention. If anyone has any free time I'd be happy to PM you the links and I'd really appreciate it.


I'm looking for someone to be as critical as possible. Literally anything I do incorrect please come down hard on me for it -- I'm trying to work mostly on efficiency when moving around the map, keeping CS high, and when to group and when to split. Also, at times I feel like I trade too often or not enough.

If anyone would like to help me out please post here or PM me! I'd be really grateful and wouldn't mind vouching for your coaching ability or maybe even throwing some money your way if you're extremely helpful.

I'm not so much interested in my performance with the champion, rather map impact. When to be where, what I built, why did I do this __ when as a higher elo player you would've done __, etc.

I tend to get good leads on my lane opponents but I struggle to transition that into a win. Even when I'm fed the games commonly go 30+ minutes.

 

You could link me the Irelia one and I could try to help you out. I'll try to be as critical as possible

I can check out your vlad game, I'm like plat 3 on EUW and used to main vlad with around a 57% win rate, pm me!

 

Just watched the Vladimir match, where you were up against J4 in lane, I'll point out what I noticed.

First off, don't go TP ignite on vlad, its just nowhere near as good as TP flash, flash is much more efficient on vladimir because of the potential engages, escapes(whilst you have your pool, it's not that good to escape unless you're dodging an ability or close to a turret) Flash is just overall a better spell to take than ignite on vladimir.

Early game:
Don't be afraid about using abilities to secure CS, especially with vladimir, you were letting quite a few minions go whilst holding onto ur Q/E, the tiny health cost for the E is worth using to get the CS, you can just heal it back up with your Q anyway.
Also, you were going for an auto attack or 2 on jarvan instead of going for a minion or 2, many of times you could have got a few minions but instead chose to auto attack the 4/5 hp jarvan with multiple health pots, in this situation, CS is usually the way to go.

Mid game:
Upgrade your trinket to the stealth option on vladimir as soon as possible, you did this at around 18 minutes which is good, but could of got it sooner after you finished your first item the amount of vision it gives is insane for 250g, its essentially a sightstone which dosen't use an item slot for 250g. Definitely worth buying ASAP.
At around the 16 minute mark, you towerdived the 1/4 hp annie when there was 4 others around her, you didn't get the kill, but you died. Try to avoid situations like this, don't let the greed get the better of you, yes, you could potentially get a kill, but thats almost certain death tower diving vs 4 like that, they got a kill and 3 assists whilst you had the potential of getting a kill, try to avoid diving into certain death unless it will be overall worth it.
You upgraded your trinket at this point, great, but you were warding in not the best spots. Try and get a few deep wards in their jungle, try to get a team mate to come with you, or go when you can see the enemies on the map, deep wards will win you the game.
You also bought an elixir at around 20 minutes, which is ok since you were grouping, but you only had 1 item completed at this point, try to get a few more before buying elixirs since they will delay your huge deathcap power spike. You were also getting caught out a few times, try to avoid this, stay with your team or constantly look at the map whilst split pushing top. Getting caught out at 25-30mins could throw the game. Overall itemization was good. Can't say much about late game since the game was only like 32 minutes long. But what I did see was you guys grouping mid and standing around when their inhibs were dead, push top and take the final inhib down and with 3 inhibs down at 30mins, there's almost no way of them coming back. Good win, but could improve. I might have missed some things out since I wasn't paying 100% attention, but think I listed some good points that you could improve on for now, hope it helps.

 

I apologize I never replied to this. I did read it some time ago and have applied to my games. Currently Silver I 57LP on quite a win streak (80% over past 20 games I believe) so I'm doing quite well.

I really, specifically, appreciate the tip about not being afraid to use E to CS. My knowledge of Vlad's limits has increased exponentially. Now I know how frequently I can use E and still have a respectable amount of HP through Q sustain and pots pre-revolver and pre-WOTA. Prior to your advice I was pretty much never using E until I had revolver which was a serious cap on my lane presence.
