Splashing/AFK NMZ Nerfed

Glad I already splashed to 94 magic on my pure. And yeah, they've ruined their best gold sink.

 

Do you still get logged out (or rather, stop retaliating) if you were to lay a heavy object on one of the directional buttons on your keyboard so the camera is spinning around continuously? Probably not, it sounds like too simple a loophole for Jagex to overlook but i still wonder

 

Yes, it keeps you logged in still. I'm sure they will patch this eventually somehow.

 

Not sure how i feel about this since splashing was in RS2. Oh well, maybe i'll see less level 123's running around now.

 

It wasn't, was it? Splashing was a result of disabling randoms which I believe happened with EOC for the real RuneScape.

 

Randoms didn't spawn inside banks in rs2 did they? (I really can't remember)

Also back in the day there were plenty of places to 6hr afk guthans other than bandits. IE Godwars, barrows etc etc

With this update you can't even AFK in bandits anymore right? Bandit AFK is where most higher levels trained in rs2.

 

Probably not. So if it did exist back then it was on a really small scale on the few NPCs in banks. I played back then and I honestly don't remember anyone doing it though.

When a random spawned and interacted with you it would interfere with your combat interaction. You'd get messed up by randoms and die/log so the fact that there's extra spots didn't really matter. EDIT: Maybe if the mob was aggressive it might've worked for 6 hours? But I'm pretty sure just Guthans would kill you at Bandits or GWD so you'd still need to sip prayer pots or eat manually anyways.

Nope. You have to be around your keyboard every 20 minutes or you log out if you're in combat. 5 minutes if you're not.

 

At the G.E, on F2P worlds, there are countless auto-chat bots advertising gold/bot websites aswell as bots scamming as NMZ hosts, cutting Yew trees and catching chins...

But lets patch AFK NMZ Guthans and splashing...

Too fucking late. I'm so glad I made the call to quit playing RS07 on the very first time Jagex lied & fucked the community (partyhats). The reason RS was so popular in 2007 is they didn't have these fucking morons making shit, unbalanced, buggy, or dead content along with constant nerfs and overhauls.

 

How'd they lie about partyhats?

 

They made it so 75% had to vote to make them discontinued, rather than 75% had to vote to make them NOT discontinued, when it was supposed to be the other way around.

 

Finally.

 

Good thing splashing will be nerfed. Too many people doing it, and it's annoying to see. If they intended for it to be in the game, just make a RuneSpan for magic >.< Goes against the whole appeal of 07 really.

 

Glad they did this. However I am not pleased that they release it at the same time as the Sailing poll. They might have thought the majority of the community would have voted yes if they banished something what everyone would call as "cheating".

However in my perspective, majority of the players do this, despite me not being in the favor of it. I voted yes for sailing but I'm pretty sure many of these players who are unhappy that they can't splash or afk train anymore would vote NO just to screw things up even further.

Those are my mere opinions.
