Was your first purchase on this forum a scam or legit?

First one was legit I think, but just got scammed by a bogdan impersonator for 20$ he was a fairly clever guy, he did double impersonating

 

They didn't succeed, but when I posted my old rs account for sale, the guy tried getting me to give him the password to my account before he paid. We even had a middle main set up and in a skype chat but he insisted he logged on the account first. I don't even know why he wanted to because I supplied him with pictures of the entire bank etc etc. It's not like he would have got any wealth off the account because I had taken it all off.

 

My first purchase was actually a 2-in-1. I was looking for a fire cape (OSRS) from Chechen, when I found out that I needed a Paypal/similar account to buy it with real money. This left me with only the RSGP option, and so I bought the GP from Probemas.com (from Chechen's recommendation). The gold went straight to Chechen, and the fire cape then went straight to my inventory all in the same day.

All-in-all, it went beautifully.

 

havnt made a trade yet but people have attempted to scam me 4 times so far slowly losing faith in sythe...

 

I got scammed buying soulsplit gp twice lol

 

Look for people with high feedback and older joindates. They tend to be a lot more legit, haven't had issues with people with over 150 vouches.

 

i got scammed for buying a noobie rs3 account for 2m haha first ever purchase

 

I can tho clearly remember I bought some steam acc, the guy was nice and didn't scam me

 

mine went smoothly, theres benefits to trading with trusted users

Correct me if I'm wrong, but regarding chargeback scams, would it not be impossible for the scammer to pull a chargeback if the payment was sent as gift?

 

No matter how you send it or what you say in the discription people can always chargeback fairly easily. PayPal protects the customers not the companies or sellers

 

So what alternatives are there? A bank transfer?

Scam lol, even made the actual guy pm me

 

My first deal on sythe the guy scammed me, he had some vouches and i was buying an rsn for like 30m so i said fuck it ill jsut go first as im new. i gave him the 30m and he never gave me the name lol. he tried getting more gold out of me after that, at which point i knew i wasnt getting the name regardless.

So i posted all the evidence and he got banned and is still banned. lol
who chooses to get banned and loose over 20 vouches for 30m rs3?

every trade ive done since then every1 has been legit, except for 1 guy attempting to scam me but he didnt succeed.

 

Honestly have no idea, it's been that long. I'm rather intrigued by the amount of banned accounts in this thread, too.
