i got scammed what do i do...

so I haven't played in a long time and I didn't wanna buy from untrusted user on sythe I wanted a specific account so anyways I bought one off http://www.runescapegold2007.com/

I paid 250 US$ for the account. and I sent the payment via paypal. they also requester proof of id so I had to send them pictures and blah blah blah. I just got back from a week vacation down south and the account is no longer mine. the original owner or the site took the account back now they said they will try to contact the original owner of the account may take up to 3 days...

I bought it off them cause I saw good reviews and ppl I kno have bought and everything went smooth what can I do im in a tight position and I used them because I figured I could trust them its a site and it said 100% safety guaranteed. any advice please.

well first maybe wait the 3 days? See if the site agrees with you and refunds you. If not then maybe take matters into your own hands

You can call paypal, as I understand this is probably an issue of great stress to you 250 dollars ain't nothing. It's really your choice if you are wanting to chargeback now or wanting to wait to see whether the site pulls through with there promise.

 

nahh they don't even give a fucking effort to pull through they even told me if I lose the account they would pay me back or give me another account of equal value... big load of shit. I just called paypal and the site has 10 days to respond and pay or else PP will do a force withdrawal from their account .

 

Contact the site. They buy/sell accounts and this probably happens all the time

Sounds like your best option is there. Be patient, and remember: don't use random websites like that.

 

1] Usually websites buy accounts. They are likely to be legit websites, but the original owner can always recover.

2] Don't buy accounts. If you're going to invest so much into an account, just make your own and have people powerlevel/quest it. They're always recoverable and if someone sees the opportunity to scam big, they will and probably will recover their accounts too.

3] Ring Paypal, explain the situation and they will more than likely resolve your issue. Ringing paypal makes a big difference in comparison to doing a written dispute, hopefully you'll speak to someone who sympathises you, and you'll most likely receive a refund.

See this is where it gets tricky, you gave them ID, which probably matches the same name on your paypal, the website can use it against you. Never buy a account off a website that pays the seller not even 50% value of the account.

Hopefully you get your money back.
