Do you think staking should be removed?

I think staking is gambling.
Its fun, why not?

 

Only time I ever play rs is to stake. Nothing else seems fun about the game anymore.

 

JAGEX MUST REMOVE STAKING.


we can able to report people by game of chance but we can bet our mils at staking how logic is it?

 

A player staking doesn't affect other players skilling so why would anyone have a problem?

 

Removing staking would cripple the already dwindling player base of runescape. Also when they removed wildy and implemented the trade limit it destroyed runescape. The trade limit didnt stop rwting either btw many high profile gold sellers figured out ways around it. Also Trade limit screwed over lending gold and merching items for profit. It was the single biggest mistake jagex ever did. However i used to enjoy BH craters and killing the rwters =P

 

Staking gets removed -> another form, possibly more sketchy arises. So no, people will always find a way, it's best to keep it as safe as possible in-game.

 

The Games of Chance Rule only applies to player-run games of chance, the reason that the rule was put into place is because by participating in a player-run game of chance you are essentially trust trading another player and hoping they pay you out, with the duel arena there is no way for anything like this to happen because it is jagex regulated.

 

yeah not sue how many people would play the game if there was no staking or rwting

 

Not many people participate in the duel arena.. If anything, all the players who will actually quit are a very small group of people..

 

Ofcourse it shouldn't be removed, the player base will decrease even more.

 

Just curious as to why you think runescape is even still around? Graphics suck, all the new updates blow, and owners/mods are fucking retarded. There is only one reason people still fuck with runescape. MONEY! Runescape is popular because you can make thousands off of a video game period. I can think of 100 other games people would rather play. It all comes down to the fact that runescape is a gambling/rwt community. Dont like it then get the fuck out and play league like the rest of us.

 

they probably should, but it makes jagex a lot of money from all the accounts that only stake etc, so i doubt they would remove it.

No. Gambling/staking is too big in the community, taking out gambling with flowers/horses/dice was a big blow to the gambling community, this would result in a lot of players OUT.

 

No. If staking removed a lot of runescape players would quit.

 

I dont think it should be removed. However I do feel you should be able to "ban" yourself from going there if you feel you have an addiction
