2 more bot banning mods trained up

Mod Weath in his twitter said that 2 more guys getting trained up for bot banning. Do you think it will have any impact in 07 rs?

Yup. If Mod Weath alone is already destructive, another 2 more Mod Weaths (taught by Mod Weath) and that makes it a Mod Weath triple threat.

Bots will be banned 3 times as fast, 3 times more bots than the previous amounts.

 

This makes perfect sense to me.

 

I have to say im kinda happy about it. If it is as you say, then gold prices probably will go up a lot.

But tbh i think there will be still bots left

Wow, Jagex taking action against bots .. this is something I haven't seen for a while.

It will be interesting to see if they can get anything noticeable done. (Hoping to see gold prices go up a bit but I kinda doubt that will happen.)

 

Like mod weath says he bans 6k~ bots a day, so they 3 can bot 15k bots a day. Thats number which can change something i think

 

I'm not worried. RiD is still working on his end-all bot that will make it pretty much impossible for Jagex to know you're botting. Once that drops, it's over.

 

They cant ban all the bots, they simply wouldnt have much of a player base.

Bots are the reason that jagex has money lol..........most botters buy mems for more cash...no more bonds/membership bought....fagex loses money..

 

Since Mod Weath's bans are effective, I'm not surprised they're getting more people for the job.

 

Have to agree that botters are big reason why runescape is still alive

But now there are still too much bots in runescape, its enough to look into sharks prices... Never seen them so low

 

It won't be the end of bots. No way. It might have an impact though. Seems like jagex realizes that since it sells gp through bonds, it has an interest in getting rid of the gp made from botting

 

It'll definitely have an impact but I don't expect gold prices to increase much.

 

While it is likely that the introduction of new anti-botting specialists in the jagex game integrity department will result in more bot bans, I think that is still unlikely that this will be the "end of botting" or anything near that.

Botting has persisted and stuck to the game for over a decade and hiring two more staff members in reality isn't going to change that much. These employees may be trained by the "best of the best" (Mod Weath) but there are many skills that I believe Mod Weath utilizes that simply can't be taught but are rather experience-based.

 

Not necessarily, they're bringing in 2 more bot banners. They don't have the technology to stop bots from being created in the first place. Therefore bots wil still be made, buy membership and be banned as soon as. So Jagex will still earn from this.
