The TOP Rules, How to avoid getting scammed.

Hello people, I been on sythe here for a while now and seen allot of people getting scammed, i also use other sited like powerbot, tribot and player auctions.

It feels really bad to see these people getting scammed just by the lack of knowledge they have with trading online.
Most of the time these people are very naive people that have a nice and polite kind of nature in them or just simply people that are minors that dont really know the value of money yet.
(I'm not saying only/always these kind of people are getting scammed, but most likely they are).

So I decided to make a small list for the people that might need this knowledge in the future.
I myself have been scammed back in the past, maybe in 2004-2007, but after that I got scammed a certain amount of times (both on runescape and other games i used to play, like diablo 2) i made clear to myself i wont ever get scammed again.
The attempts of people that tried to scam me is over 500 times and im almost sure its over a 1,000 times.

Alright that's enough about me, lets get started.

Rule number #1. "Check the trader"

This rule i set as number one because it's really basic and really important to know.
ALWAYS make sure that you RECEIVE a Private Message from the person you are trading, confirming his name..
like: "Chatting with you right now on Skype about the account sale, my Skype name is Live:Motonoga"

If they come with an excuse or something else that makes them not able to PM you, simply don't rush into things, it doesn't mean they are scamming you but just wait until its possible, No PM = NO TRADE.

Ps.Also make sure they pm you on the they claim they are trusted on, like make someone from Sythe PM you on Sythe, and not on PBot with the same name, that does not make any sense.

    Rule number #2. "Middle Man"

If you are trading a bunch of value, ALWAYS use an MM.
It doesn't matter that the person you are trading has 250 vouches, they could be vouches of trades that only contain small amounts, the person did not scam a 50€ trade but he might scam you for the €1,200 trade you are doing now, because people are people and people do stupid stuff sometimes.
The same with a guy wont scam your 5€ but he might scam your €50.
So in that case, always use an MM for BIG trades.
Most of the time you can see if someone is trustworthy by browsing trough his vouches and actually checking them, but we will go on that at rule #3.

Also a very common thing i get allot if that people claim they only want an MM with the biggest Fee's and they don't want to pay any of the fee's so that makes you in most cases pay 15/20 dollars for a MM, there are allot of decent free MM's that are HIGHLY trusted that you could use, or try and split the fee's. if they really don't want to pay any fee's just find another trader because most of the time the person was trying to scam you.
No legit trader with the right set of mind will do that, so just leave those people be and find a better person to trade with, remember NEVER rush your trade.

    Rule number #3. "Fake vouches".

This is very obvious for me but for some people it might not be, i have been on sythe and seen people that have allot of vouches (around the 20), but it didn't make any sense because the guy had not enough posts and he didn't seem very trustworthy to me, so i decided to check his vouches 1 by 1 a d that he had like 2 real ones, and 18 fakes!

How to check if they are fake?
Simple click on this right in the vouch:

Have to go for now, will update this post every time i have something new.
    Any feedback will be appreciated.
    To be continued..

Good job with the fake vouches, but the PM is completely wrong, that's not how you receive a PM. If you receive a PM like that, deny it, and request they send it in the format below:

    My skype:
    Your skype:
    The deal:

Make sure the chat logs below match EXACTLY!

    [chatlogs]

Also, your MM description is misleading. Many of the impostors will agree to pay fees in full, or agree to some form of split. There are no clear cut way to find impostors or scammers until during or after the trade, really.
