[ digital art ] a dragon.

I haven't seen too much art around here, just mostly graphics.

So here's a dragon that I drew recently!

do you draw logos? if so, I might be interested!

 

Looks excellent, but a few pieces of critique:

* The front claws look a little off, they look more like a cat's paws. Unless that was your intent (probably not as its a dragon) try adding like sharp nail points or something
* The transition from the shoulders to the middle neck is a bit oddly shaped, might want to revisit that.

The color though, fantastic. Really love the vivid blues on the dark dragon Good job man.

 

I do graphic design full-time, so I can do logos, but I haven't quite worked out a price for anything like that on here. >:

Thank you! You're totally right ahah, I don't usually draw dragons, so I'm working on a more simplified style for them. This was a commission, so I won't be going back to change anything, but I'll definitely keep this in mind for future dragon endeavors.

As worry said, the claws/paws are unusual for your stereotypical dragon, but it looks goods nonetheless. I really like the flow of the colors, the shades of purple are just really nice.

I'm guessing you use a graphics tablet? If so, got any tips? I've just recently picked up an Intuos Small Tablet and hoping to get into digital drawing (opposed to only signature/banner/etc. creation all from internet resources).

Yeah, I have an Intuos Manga that I use. Um, tips would be to use it frequently! If I go a while without drawing digitally, it gets kinda weird and hard to adjust again sometimes and my lines and drawing just turn out wonky. And it takes a good bit of time to adjust to the feel of it in general. Also, try to draw in small strokes, instead of one long motion. It makes your lines and everything cleaner and easier to manage. And uum, I guess that's mostly it. (':
