If you have similar situations in future I'd recommend you to look at what well-established gold shops offer you, because you may sell at an unfair price if you don't get informed previously, which is basically what happened. You could've sold it for $36 in a shop or easily dumped it here at $1.30-35 and get $40. Good luck!
