Evolution of my Play

Long Story Short-

I bought a gold 2 account just to see if i belonged in gold which i thought i did. First 5 match's i got destroyed in lane and ended up going 1/4. Slowly i started itemizing much safer. Bronze - silver i always felt superior in my knowledge and could usually bully even the worst counters. Hell i enjoyed picking into them way to much. My fault was always team fights and i never understood why. Playing in gold 2 i finally realized what my issue was. I always tried creating picks or plays. I never allowed others to do their job because honestly i didnt trust them to. Being dominated a few times in lane and holding on for dear life made me realize how to team fight much better. Im letting players carry out their role and playing mine only. (I usually play poke champs Top/Mid Ahri and Nid being my mains) Multiple times ive lost lane but won the game in the end. Ive started 0/3 atleast 5x but finished 8/4 or better the majority of the time. My strengths have flip flopped and my last 20 games have seen a increased Win Rate. Hell im one win away from promotions. Ive always been a firm believer in playing with better players makes you better. I may have bought my way into gold but i havent plummeted back into silver and it makes me feel much better. Now i can focus on my mechanics which sorely need improvement if i wish to stay here longer.

I used to struggle in team fights mightily even when i was super fed. I realize its from my item choices and lack of respect for others damage. I dont engage everything and sit back allowing the game to come to me more. Its been so much more fun to play this way

I think that one thing people should get from this read, is that you should trust your teammates when you're in a higher ELO (Gold+ ish). LoL is still a team game and teamfights with proper teamwork is very important. I believe that plays should be made by yourself when you're trying to carry yourself out of an ELO you don't believe you belong in (Bronze, Silver). If you truly believe that you deserve to be in a higher ELO, your mechanics should outperform the other players in lower ELOs, which is acceptable for you to try and make plays.

The other major issue i had was my attitude towards players in low elo's. Id get frustrated by continued retarded moves and give up. After watching someone die run into lane and die again 10x in a row i got discouraged and angered. I couldnt help but call them fucking retarded. keeping my mouth shut and playing with better players has improved my overall game experience.

(ie what ranks do you play with in norms)

I am diamond 5 and I still dont do my job, I try to do everyone's job because I dont trust my teammates lol. Worst of it all, I play support.
