190lbs 4 reps. Since I'm over 190lbs that's not that great :/ I'm all about looking like I can lift a lot :p Not looking to compete or be one of those guys trying to get everyone to see I'm lifting the stack.

170 for a few reps but I'm only 140lbs so it's not bad.

    Bench Press Records?

I'm surprised at how honest the replies are. Almost every time I see a thread like this you get these internet meat heads saying the bench 345.

Personally I don't max often. I did hit 295 3 weeks ago. Today I got 9 reps of 225, and back when I hit that 295 I was getting around 7 reps of 225. It might be time to max again =p

Wow, everyone here is jacked . You guys got any tips to lifting higher weights with lower reps rather than building endurance lifting?

Did 225 lbs. 8 times which equals to about 300 lbs. That was before I hurt my shoulder so I'm working my way back up.

Just lift higher weights with lower reps :p Working out is easier than people make it out to be. Do the most you can do in 5 reps where your 6th would be a failure. I usually do this myself and move up 5 lbs every week in how much I can do for 5 reps. It's slow, but sure. Went from that 95lbs to 195-200lbs. At least this is what most of my bulking programs have me doing.

    Bench Press Records?

I train some clients over Skype based on their transformations and my personal experience the one thing that shot up my strength incredibly fast was reverse pyramid training. I was benching 225 for 2-3 reps then 6 weeks after I started reverse pyramid training I was benching 250 for 4 reps 225 for 10 reps.

All of my other lifts also had the same sort of increase.

Here is how it works i'll use bench press for example.
Do 2-3 warm up sets. Once your all warmed up you'll only be doing 3 actual sets.

Set 1 (Something you can only do 4-6 reps of) once you get that 6th rep for 2 workouts in a row you'll bump up the weight by 10%
Set 2 (Something you can only do 6-8 reps of) once you get that 8th rep for 2 workouts in a row you'll bump up the weight by 10%
Set 3 (Something you can only do 8-10 reps of) once you get that 10th rep for 2 workouts in a row you'll bump up the weight by 10%

That's it! You can also apply reverse pyramid training to more than one exercise per workout (but don't do it for all)

For example i'd immediately follow up and do reverse pyramid training on the incline bench right after I did it on the flat bench.
