Impulse Buys?

Bought this as an impulse after seeing it in a video, out $500.

Made me think, what have you guys bought on a whim?

 

Look's like some kind of upside down helicopter. I dislike the look of that.

Clothing, Shoes, off the top of my head, nearly always.

 

Haha, the cosmetic covers on the base are removable.

 

Is it comfy? can't argue with comfy-ness can we now!

 

For $500 it's safe to assume it's comfy.

@DD, you do know there are dx racer chairs going for $350-$400, right?

I can't remember the last time I impulsively bought something. I usually do research or weigh out my options before purchasing things nowadays.

 

Usually I buy a bottle of coca cola when I'm out shopping. It feels overpriced considering I could just have a drink at home instead but I guess it's more enjoyable to have something to drink when you're on the go. I dunno.

Other than small things like that I don't impulse buy.

 

I'm so tempted to splurge on the Astra a50 wireless headset for $350AUD.. I don't NEED something that good since I could just buy another wireless Logitech headset (which also were an impulse buy lol!)

I'm a sucker for cool looking laptops and gaming headsets, my laptop cost me $1700 because of it's glowy keyboard and I can change it any colour.

 

Where to start..

I once walked into town and walked out with a £2,000 laptop I did no research on and a holiday booked to Tenerife for my girlfriend..

Now responsibilities are a big part in my life I have to bite my tongue and walk away from impulse buy situations haha

 

The model is OH/KF07/NB. I wouldn't be surprised if there was another seller that offers a bit cheaper. The actual price was $460, but unfortunately my state has online sales tax.

Normally I'm like that too, whenever I take an interest in something I over-research trying to discern the best product/value. This time I had a bit of lapse in self control. I wanted it, and I got it.

My first reaction was to tell you to just buy a discreet microphone + headset. You could probably get better performance in the same price range.

But fuck it, treat yourself to something you'll enjoy. I've found most things high-end PC/Gaming related I've got my moneys worth.

I'll be sure to report back =P. But just from what I've seen there is a lot of soft padding. The arm rests are adjustable and it can lean back all the way flat. You can even lock it in any position you feel like. Plus the head and back support cushions if you want them.

Also its rated for 24 hour use. Most office chairs are only rated for 2-6 hours, any longer and you could potentially be damaging your back due to poor posture and not enough support.

Hey man, unless you're on a super tight budget don't sweat it! Seems perfectly reasonable to me!

 

Sometimes I buy like a hat or a t shirt on a whim but typically I don't impulse buy much. My dad on the other hand is the king of impulse buys.

 

I remember buying a pair of Vans shoes on an online clothing website that cost me $80. Regretted my decision the moment I tried it on when it was delivered to my house. (I have flatfoot and Vans isn't flatfoot-friendly)

 

Sounds like a good impulse buy.

I only asked 'cos it does look rather plasticky, if that's a word.
I do need to buy a desktop chair for the Family Home Pc, but then I worry that my little bro will sit on it for 24/hrs. ....Naaaah I'm sure that wouldn't happen.

*Just to expand on my clothing&shoes impulse buys, I tend to stick within budget/what I can afford. I'm just glad I'm not that into electronics >.>

Sooo many shirts I buy and wear like 1-3 times because of like a mainstream TV show I used to like but now the show is too old to be recognized amongst all the new mainstream TV shows so it's pointless to wear the shirt anywhere other than home.

 

Payday yesterday so i decided to buy myself a new headset.

A few months ago I got obsessed with high-end sunglasses and blew about $1000 on 4 pairs LMAO

 

Shoes & Clothing man, I just paid equivalent to $240 for a Burberry shirt.

 

Gun stuff, tools. Was drunk one night online and ended up with a $500+ holographic sight lmao. It IS really nice though.

 

I hope that's a good laptop.

You could have made a beastly PC build and got a keyboard that did the same thing lol
