Do you believe oldschool needs a max cape?

There was a new max cape dev blog presented on the first page. I don't think It's good for the game personally because it promotes a tedious style of play. Your thoughts?

 

I feel it needs to come into the game... Whats the reason of maxing if you don't get anything for it? It promotes playing the game the way it was meant to be played aswell. I support it for sure and hope it goes through. Gives me a reason to max on 07.

 

Maxing your stats was never the intention in Runescape.

Runescape was released January 2001.
Runescape introduced skill capes in October 2006.
Runescape introduced the max cape in May 2011.

If that was the main intention/goal of the game, why was there a 5 year span between both? The game, as any other game, is meant to be played to have fun. There is no set goal when you play runescape. Whether or not the cape belongs is another question.

 

So now we're going from 2007 to 2011? In before they update something from Eoc/Rs3 into the game, oh wait yeah bonds.

 

Maybe as a possible gold sink, I don't see a problem with it but it shouldn't be a priority by any means.

 

How on earth is that going to be a gold sink if there are 100 maxed players right now? Bonds are the only effective sink at the moment I think

 

He didn't say it was an effective sink, it would still be nice if the cape would cost 2-5m. Any coin sink is better than no coin sink.

 

I don't see why not there is already a fair amount of maxed people (100+) so I see it coming out sooner rather than later.
