    Buying RayBans Sunglasses?

So lately I've been trying to buy a pair of RayBans sunglasses. After doing some research, the Wayfarer RB2132 costs $155 on the RayBans website but only $79.95 on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Ray-Ban-RB213...e=UTF8&qid=1437525446&sr=8-1&keywords=raybans)

Should I buy the ones on the RayBans website or Amazon? Why does Amazon sell them for like 40% less?

Well it looks like it is imported, plastic frame (Don't know if that's good or not), sold by Sun Sports, and made in Italy or China--- makes me kind of worried.

I'm concerned about the authenticity of the ones sold on Amazon.

Buy nice or buy twice man. Always my philosophy. In the long run, paying that extra $76 is well worth it!

    Buying RayBans Sunglasses?

I use Amazon for nearly all of my online purchases and buying directly from a manufacturer (ex: Raybans website, Apple's website, etc.) is nearly always more expensive. Read the reviews and check what seller you're buying from. If the seller has good reviews, it's likely legitimate.

Also, totally check eBay, I bought a pair of Raybans (mint condition) off there for like $85 a few years back.

It's true you get what you pay for, but that doesn't mean don't look around for a good deal. I've bought a multitude of cars, computers, motorcycles, all for "cheap" prices, but that's because I spent time looking for a reasonable price w/o getting a POS product.

The one's I'm planning on getting are made of plastic. Is that bad compared to the other materials (Acetate, nylon, etc.)?

Do not buy plastic my friend. I own original Aviators and Wayfarers, have seen a shit ton of knockoffs, and let me tell you: they suck. To be honest it's not like you're paying $100 some dollars for something you'll use every now and then. I've had mine for a solid 2 years without a scratch and they look fresh af every time. My suggestion, buy off the site or pre-owned mint condition off eBay.

I'm buying it off the Official Ray Bans website. The one I want, RB2132 55mm, is made of plastic and costs $155. So....?

For sure buy the real ones for full price. I bought a pair and I've never been happier with a pair of glasses.

If you can afford to purchase those and them not be the correct one you are looking for than go for it. If you are looking for 100% legitimacy, go to the Ray Ban site.
    It's a gamble.

I would go for the real ones, just from reading the reviews on amazon.

My wayfarers don't have a plastic frame so I'm not sure what you're looking at. Mine are more rubbery but I don't know the exact material. I wouldn't recommend plastic.

It's because if I buy the default size, the lens is only 52mm which is too small for me. I want 55mm but the same New Wayfarer style. In order to get that, I have to do this under the customize section which costs $25 more.

Personally, I would wear the fakes. But, just google "good quality cheap china raybans" and you'll find them for like $15 or so.

Are polarized Ray Bans worth the money? I've been debating whether or not to get those as well. I've heard that it will be hard to view LCD screens like your phone. Just how much is "hard"?

Uhh I'll save you the embarrassment and let you know now that the 55mm is for females. Yes it's technically "unisex" but everyone and their auntie's know they're the female version and if you go to college you'll be laughed at with those shades.

Oh really? I didn't know that. I currently have the RB4204 Andy that are 55mm lens diameter and 17mm bridge width and they fit perfectly fine.

It's not about the fit it's about the style. The 55mm can fit almost anyone. Unless you have a very large/round face and the 52mm look puny (which is very rare) then I would go for a 55mm. The college I'm attending is 50% frat and super preppy so I have a pretty good idea about these sorts of things.
