So i learnt something today

This morning I woke up and found blood drips everywhere outside , Turns out my dog has just started heat and they have their period's . Did not know this happened so took it to the vet lol. While there I did get it micro chipped though so it wasnt a total waste ^_^ .

 

That's.. Good to know.
But don't be down, i didn't either, and my dog's been in heat before.

 

What does it mean to get your dog 'micro chipped' ?

As in, so you can locate it? lolwut

 

LOL i remembered the time when my aunty's dog was having her period too.

I was pretty young that time and was like "wtf?"

 

Nz law requires us to micro chip the dog incase it's wandering the streets, stolen, attacks a person ect.

It's basicly ID they scan the dogs back and it say's the owner address ect. They can't locate your dog via a computer. But if your dog was stolen and someone takes it to the vet they can scan it and find out it isnt theirs.

I personally think its a waste of cash, but laws are laws.

I didn't have a clue that they bleed so was also like wtf also.

 

yeah I don't like when my dog goes on her period... She's all nice and stuff one minute and then bitchy and angry the next (no pun intended)

 

I truly had no idea dogs could get periods anyways.
