[Global+]Disputing my ban

Hey, I was banned for "imposter scamming", and it was because me and the imposter are both located in California.

I was banned for a self impersonation, the only connection was both ips of me and the imposter were in California, but there's like 40 million people in CA.
Anyway, in the end the only solid proof that had me banned was that Thomas, the victim didn't have any connections with my imposter. Well, that's wrong. The only reason Thomas got scammed was because he had sent my imposter a request on skype, leading to him being scammed and me at blame.

Proof can be requested and I'm sure u can see it on Thomas's skype aswell

How would the imposter gave obtained your customer's information? It was never posted.

 

I'm no longer considering this appeal (meaning perm close, pardon only.) I've opened it to a Global+ for final ruling.

Roary sent a careless pm resulting in someone being scammed and so did I.


Did roary face punishment? No

These are seperate cases, as Gyzo pointed out "man in the middle scam." The conversations were different and obviously faked, as a result of the customer not paying attention.

In your case, there was no difference, as you're the imposter. As to the excuse of "I make xxx why would I scam x?" we've all seen it before. For every scam that's reported, there are plenty which haven't been.

I don't know why a global hasn't responded yet, I do apologise for that but I can't speed it up any further.
