Normal game, LAN ranked servers were down, plat 3 elo. It was a complete roflstomp, but the point is I wasn't sure what to build.

I've always like fizz, but he's weak top and mid ATM in my opinion. Top can do alright against certain picks, but even maining him you'll just get destroyed by some matchups. I turned to the jungle.

    Devourer VS Runeglaive?

    AD vs AP?

    Items?

I had a GA, Hydra and black cleaver all as my last item, I didn't really have an identity. I was doing super hard damage, but at the same time locking down targets for my team. I feel as if the build should be optimized, looking for some high elo advice on how to play, and a better build path:)

Devourer is the clear winner at this point and the Sated will proc his W twice, giving an overall higher DPS, and who's not mentally scared when a second ghost fizz pops up to attack him?

Runeglaive on the other hand is not as strong on fizz since he doesn't have skills that do physical damage like Ezreal or GP's Q.

And when you get a devourer, BOTRK is always your first core item, since it synergizes really well with devourer.

Rest of your items should be depending on your team, and don't get a black cleaver, it's pretty useless on fizz. Black cleaver is only strong IF your whole team is AD. Because then black cleaver shreds armor not only for you but your team mates as well (Last Whisper is direct armor penetration so it only affects damage by you and NOT by teammates)

I am not really a pro player but as a Shaco main, it's my role and responsibility to understand which item optimizes the most and to get up to date with the current meta. Obviously with all the attack speed devourer champions and the tank meta still slightly in the upperhand, Shaco is at the bottom of the chain right now.

BORK is extremely good for fizz because it means that with your w active you will be doing 8% max health with every hit (more with devourer). After those two items I would go tanky, building fh and sv to cap out cdr, giving you insane chase and escape potential. Rest of the items depends on how the game is going and specific team comp you're against (randuin, triforce, etc.).

Well go devourer for sure and after that get bork. Now depending on how the game is going (you are fed/ahead or behind/in need of a tank). Go tri force for more damage and then go tanky or just go straight into tank items; frozen heart if they have fed ad and go visage if they have fed ap. If mixed buy both. Consider a Ga instead of one of them though if you feel you are carrying.

They both have different styles. If you're used to the more bursty aoe zhonyas fizz style, then definately go ap. If you're used to the more bruiser, aa fizz style, then go devourer; that's not to say ad fizz doesn't have burst, he can do if he's extremely fed, but the two play styles are distinct. Which play style you prefer or should opt-for comes down to personal preference and the champs in the game.

If you're going for devourer, look for trinity force, blade, and potentially more on-hit, such as wits-end. Never get hydra on fizz. Your boots are fine, but if you build wits-end, it's probably better to get boots other than aspd (since you'll be more or less capped). Gauntlet is fine, although most people prefer frozen heart (more cdr), and if you build tri-force you don't need gauntlet. I also never liked GA on fizz, just use zhonyas and e out, unless its a 70 minute last fight decides it game.

You can kind of build anything on ad fizz without it being terrible. What you ought to build however depends on the champs you're vsing, and the how the games playing out. If it was a rofl-stomp, I would've just gone full ad and zhonyas for your defensive item. Also fizz top and mid are fine, and are fine in most of the popular match-ups. The only problem is that playing fizz in these roles requires strong mechanics (especially mid-lane), and strong game knowledge, knowing when to roam, how much damage you can do, what targets to get on, zoning etc etc.

Most builds I see for AD Fizz now are BOTRK into Trinity/FH and then tank items of choice.

I don't play ranks much (I mostly play strictly tournaments now) but it seems that AD Fizz has a set build path, I've almost never seen much deviation. I've pretty much seen the same items on all AD Fizz's ranging from silver to high plat/low diamond.

Yeah, I feel like in the jungle though you should go tanky after building BORK and delay the trinity because of all the gold you already had to sink in to the jungle item, but that's just me... maybe unless you're snowballing really hard.

Runeglaive is surprisingly strong on fizz if u want to go the ap route. However you said top fizz is not good. Fizz top is very good actually. You can go tp ignite. Whilst building triforce into tank. If youre ahead you can buy a bork or a wits end. You can even build a zhonyas. VERY VERSATILE champion

Fizz Jungle is probably better off as a bruiser, off the top of my head my Fizz JG build would probably go like:

Devourer > Merc Treads > Bork > IB Gauntlet > Veil > Randuins

I feel triforce would serve you better than iceborn. Possibly situational tho

You can go Devourer - Blade - Triforce - Tank or skip the triforce and go into tank if you need to.

I personally like runeglaive more - it is a much earlier power spike for early presence (I like to snowball games) as it provides earlier burst damage. I like to build Rylais after it gives you some hp and the magic damage on his W causes ALL HIS AUTOS TO SLOW BY 40% which is really nice. Perma slows to stick onto people.

For Jungle Fizz I'm more of a fan of IBG just because TF takes too long to farm up especially if no lanes are gankable. Sheen proc, slow, 10% CDR, 30 AP, 60 Armor, +500 mana pool for almost 800gp cheaper than trinity
