Need help with IPHONE 5

Was wodnerign if anyone can help me, I dropped my iphone 5 in water the other day and had it in rice to draw the water out for 48hours but its still not working, anyone know of any way to get the phone powered up?

It was in water for about 3 secs max.

 

If the rice method dose not work it could be just be the battery that is not powering it up.
try to replace the battery if you can

I would open it up and check it out. I've had people come into my shop for stuff like that and even tho it's in rice for days I've seen water in the phone still. I would recommend not trying to power it on till you get into it and verify there is no more liquid. From there I would probably take a tooth brush and some rubbing alcohol and scrub the mother board a lil to help prevent farther corrosion. Don't worry bout rubbing alcohol because it's electronic safe. Before you do all that be sure to Disconnect the batter. From that point I would try a new battery or charging port. Do you have a local shop that fixes broken iPhone screens or anything like that? They'd be able to give you some definite advice.

 

i put my phone in rice for a day then a blowdryer for 20mins and it powered on afterwards.

If it's not powering on, i'd suggest taking it to an apple store and see what they say. You can also try one of those local electronic stores and see what they say but they may charge you an arm and a leg.

 

I suggest you take your iPhone to some local fixing shop or Apple Store and get it fixed because most likely, you will need to take your phone apart. You need to pry your screen out and if you are not experienced, it can ruin your phone.

 

I am not sure if they still have this but a couple years back on the battery you could see a white dot on it. If water had made the phone un-useable the white dot would turn red. Try checking that.
