Your opinion on the current economy

I know many of the people here aren't economists but if you've been keeping up with the news you probably know the Chinese stock markets falling, Greece is close to default with Italy not too far behind, Canada's GDP has proven the economy has been in recession for the past 2 quarters but nobody here has felt the burden ans are praising the interest rate cuts as they come without looking at the negative consequences.

So my question is how do you feel about the economy where you live?

 

I'm not an economist, but I'm fairly established or attempting to establish myself in the investment banking scene so I guess I'm an economy-observant?

I live in the states and I think we're having issues expanding our economy. What I mean by this is that this is the longest it has ever taken our country to climb out of a recession. We're healthy, sure - but we aren't thriving.

How do you feel about yours?

sidenote: too much dumb money into chinese stock market. reminds me alot of the american 2000s recession
