What are your thoughts on Deadman mode?

A worse idea than EOC. It's going to be overrun by clans and there is no point to it anyway. I don't know why so many people voted yes for it, it won't have more than 50 people playing after 2 weeks.

 

IMO this will be completely fun, this is what I was looking for, a simple game like RS but turn into PVP completely.

The concept is not fit for this game.
Not enough players playing to support a pking division in the community.
The game is more oriented as a minigame, more than a mode itself.
There are a lot of problems that still aren't fixed in the main game, and priority should be focused on the majority.
The longevity/liveliness of the mode won't last long.
There is bound to be glitches/bugs/loopholes that will compromise the integrity of the mode.
The exp multiplier and consequences of dying are redundant.
The idea of raiding banks is nice in thought, but this can easily be sidestepped by using mules for important items.

There's no reason to vote no to it, even if it dies the day it comes out and literally nobody plays it jagex said they will not do anything else with the development time that should have gone to making deadman mode. In summary we may as well have a mode that some people enjoy than no mode.

 

Everybody whos saying no is having good points. Personally, i wouldn't mind it, and probably wouldn't play it.

 

I think it would be great, the concept is good and all, however people do have points about the overall playerbase and how many people will end up playing...

I'm sure many people (including myself) will start playing 07 to play deadman mode, I have no interest in playing the other shit but i've wanted this for a long time, and it's finally happy so I cant wait till it passes

 

I agree with Ghast, the concept isn't really well suited to runescape play style.

I personally think its a waste of time. They need to focus on improving the game itself before they start trying to work on these silly "modes"

Damage control. Saying it won't take up much dev time is a stretch. They need to make sure quality assurance is there, rework various quests to support the mode concept, place/remove restrictions, and work on additions to the mode (bank raids). Not to mention future suggestions, bug fixes, and other changes to mitigate loss of players when the activity of the mode starts to dwindle (highly anticipated I may add). It's pretty obvious they're determined to make sure this passes, so they will say anything that the majority wants to hear. It should be noted that IVP is still connected to Jagex. I wouldn't believe half the things that come out the mouths of these J mods.

They only said this so more people would vote yes. A lot of people on reddit said that they rather have devs not waste their time, and therefore would vote no. Mod Matt K just said that randomly and everyone fell for it rofl..

 

Let's be honest, 90% of the runescape community is made up of "Let's not XP Waste" taking part in a tournament that gives them no XP at all isn't going to beneficial to them at all, they won't care.
