Thoughts on Runeglaive Nasus mid/top?

I saw Gv Keane play it a couple games yesterday.
He got beaten pretty bad in lane, but suddenly he just went off and killed people 1v2, 1v3 etc, seems really powerful.

What do you guys think about it? Could it be the next op?

 

Just gets outclassed by so many other options. Keane can make anything look good :3 but it'd be fun to try in normals and such. Imo runeglaive is only viable for 3-4 champs and only super good on Ezreal. Everyone else is just meh with it.

 

Maybe late game I could see it being kinda funny to pull out when the enemy team has stacked armor and suddenly your Q does magic damage, but beyond that it's a really bad item for him. It does AOE damage so makes it harder to stack, and you also lose your lifesteal from your Q which is a huge part of Nasus's kit. Also, you lose out on the armor reduction from your E. Nasus can reach the point of being able to 1v2 or 1v3 eventually by just building standard anyways.

 

What about Gangplank then?
A friend of mine played it a couple games ago, one q and his ult and the enemy adc was gone, lol. It was shitty in the beginning, but when he got some items, it was pretty good

 

where? gp mid seems fine with smite/flash but i don't think it'll work top since gp needs flash. basically gp top with either smite/flash or tp/smite can be abused really hard

 

ya alex ich played it mid. you have 0 kill pressure in laning phase, but once you get out your global ult and q + healing really is decent

The item is bringing out some fun champ combos but I think Ezreal pulls it off the best

 

Ezreal is broken with Runeglaive, that dmg is stupid haha

 

Ezreal with Runeglaive is definitely way much better, Nasus just gets more stacks on his Q, and that's why Keane was able to pull it off. But with a good team knows how to shut and end the game early when against a Nasus.

 

He's E does mass amounts of dmg w/o runeglaive. I use to play Ap nasus mid as a joke but its still fun
