This is my little, long, rant about vouches and just wanting to sell your account..

I don't understand why you need vouches when all you want to do is join the site and sell your account and never use it ever again because you are done with Runescape and sythe forever!

Sigh..

I joined this site earlier this month to sell my RSGP and my account, RSGP coming first and the account later.

I post a thread about me selling my RSGP and got a buyer. I trusted him 100% because I looked on this profile and saw all his vouches and saw that he was a very trusted member. So..What happened you're wondering? Hahaha, scammed for all my RSGP! Luckily I had enough proof to provide to ban the scumbag. He even tried saying he didn't scam, seriously bro?

I have recovered my account from the scumbag and will continue to sell until someone has LEGITIMATELY bought it off of me. I will not recover if you buy it legit from me but obviously will if you scam me.. LOL...

I am now out of RSGP and have no desire, whatsoever, to play runescape anymore. So therefore, want to sell my account to someone willing to buy it so it's not just sitting there collecting dust.

So now to get to the having vouches part...Take me as example, I joined this site just to sell my RSGP/Account. How am I going to get vouches? I literally get scammed of all my RSGP and have an empty account just sitting there. What exactly do I do to get vouches? The only way, that I've seen so far, to get vouches is to ACTUALLY SELL OR BUY stuff posted by other members.

I am not looking to buy anything or sell anything else but my account. So how exactly am I suppose to prove myself to be able to sell it? Oh, "SVU or $25 donor only"...

Sigh...

Yes let me create a fake phone number off a website and become an SUV and donate $5!! $5!! LOOOL. Honestly? Ok let's see, let's donate $25 to this site and then I am now a trusted member. Mmm... That means nothing to be honest because the "trusted" member can just one day go ahead and scam someone after he's done with the site.

OR.. In a scammers point of view.

Make a new account, act legit by getting a ton of posts, donate $25 to the site, donate another $5 to get SVU. That's $30, obviously, then sell my runescape account, or anything but in this case it's runescape, for about $100. Hey look there a $70 profit woohoo, I can recover and sell it again on another site hey, I'm the best scammer ever yay!

I don't care if this makes no sense to you at all or if you think I am dumb or anything but the whole having vouches thing makes no sense, unless it's for something other than runescape then I am not sure but, I'm pretty sure, actually 100% sure, that "trusted" members have scammed many times before even Mods/Admins. Am I right? Please tell me if so, I'm pretty sure I'm right.

If you've made it this far then I feel for you.. I wasted your time I am sorry about that but I just needed to get this out. Maybe this post doesn't even belong here but it says anything 07 related and I am selling an 07 account.

No I did not make this thread just to scam you, I want to actually use a TRUSTED Admin/Mod Middle Man to help us with this. I know you're thinking, " oh you can just recover" LOL, please, this game bores the hell out of me and I have moved on and to be honest, so should you. This game just gets so boring playing alone after awhile and getting such high stats and realizing, it's just a waste of time.

Oh another thing, why do you have to be "trusted" if you're going to use a MiddleMan anyways? I don't want to go into detail or say anything more so thank you for reading and sorry for making this post but, I had to.

Not sure if this is a rant or a pitiful attempt to advertise the sale of your account.

Either way, you should probably keep these two separete.

 

I agree, the whole trading with vouches is a catch-22 (if you're looking to gain meaningful vouches, anyways).

However, buyers want to have some added security when purchasing an account because if they pay with a currency like RSGP then there's no way to get that back while an account owner will always be able to recover an account. That's why they look for vouches/donation/other forms of trust which show that the other person has invested something into the site (whether this be time or money) that would disincentivize him to scam in the future. While a MM may prevent a scam occurring during the actual trade there's no saying of what may happen after it's completed, especially with account sales.

It seems tough if you want to come here for one sale. In your mind, you have to treat your RS account as worth nothing of value until you have some rep. You can always try PlayerAuctions. People will sometimes buy from newcomers because PlayerAuctions offers "Buyer Insurance", and I say that in quotes because you will most likely never see your money again if you get scammed. Anyway goodluck.

 

I came here for one sale, got scammed a bunch of times and ended up sticking around. Think a lot of people would have joined with the intention of buying or selling a couple of bits before getting into it, not many join with the purpose of joining a blackmarket community.

 

Most come to sell one of their many accounts or "mains" and end up staying.
