Is it possible to be banned when you havent botted?

Could the ban be incorrect? Is this a trick question?

 

Well if no one has botted and it is banned for botting then its obviously incorrect. Unless ofcourse bot related bans are given even for not botting but I am sure if you read up on the RuneScape rules you'll see that they aren't.

 

Either one of the people botted or it is a mistake.

 

One of you botted it, Jagex doesn't false ban for botting. They have a good system in place.

You got the answers that are correct. Someone botted on the account, it's that simple.

Well if nobody botted on the account and it was banned for botting, of course it's a false ban. But whether it will get lifted is a different story...

 

its hard to get it lifted jagex will say u must have bot on it

 

Chances are if your account got banned for botting, it's because you botted. if you didn't bot, then the other person did

 

They do sometimes falsely ban for botting; however, they will sometimes claim its a bot ban for account sharing. Account sharing is against RuneScape rules, and while seldom, they have handed out bans for it from time to time. It would be like them to say its a botting ban if account sharing is the reason behind it.

Yet is there any possibility the other party botted? Macroed in any way? Auto clicker and auto typers do count.

 

They can ban you for botting even if you weren't botting if they think that you were botting. Usually doesn't happen unless its a high profile account though.

 

Happened to me on 3 accounts a few days ago

 

I got banned for using RSbuddy..

 

Lots of people did, move on it's been years since RSBuddy was out.

 

Point being both people aren't sure if the other botted or not.

 

Jagex can ban anyone, at any given time - because when you agree to their ToS you agree that the account you register is theirs.
