Missing Network Adapter Driver [Windows XP]

I recently installed an outdated graphics card in my out-dated desktop. The on-board card is a geforce 7025 and I installed a 8400 gs. After powering back on the driver wizard appeared and I selected automatically install drivers. Everything looked great.
It was after this point that I realized I could no longer connect to the internet. There was no cable is unplugged icon. Upon further inspection it was revealed that there is no network adapter recognized in the device manager. I believe it was caused by the nvidia drivers.
I uninstalled everything nvidia and reinstalled the drivers for my biostar n68s3b motherboard but it still has not recognized the network adapter. It is the on-board adapter not a pci card.

I'm just hoping someone can help me solve this. This is my only backup tower after my laptop stopped booting due to an issue with AVGSHID.sys. Also, there is no working CD drive on this tower. I have access to a desktop with internet and windows 7 but its not mine.
