Re: So, I have a paypal student card, but ran into a problem?

Hi everyone,
so after months of having a paypal account "underage", they asked me to confirm my photo id and ssn... Then I asked about transferring some cash from my bank account and they put a hold on my account so thus; I HAD to get a student account.
Everything is fine, but when I go to send a payment (send to family/friends) the MAX limit is $5.99? I mean I have tried 6.00-10.00 and ONLY $5.99- works. I have confirmed every single bank account/card, but I can't send more than 5.99?
Anyone here, who either had a student account or someone who knows how to fix this, who can help will be greatly appreciated and vouched

 

Perhaps it's not an issue with having a student account but your account itself. If they asked you for your photo ID/SSN, they know you're probably abusing the friends/family and not sending to actual friends. They probably enacted the limit so you're forced to pay fees. Try calling them up and begging, but if you keep misusing friends/family payment they'll close your account.

 

Hmm Idk, it's really weird. Honestly, I am really starting to not like Paypal. But it's not just through friends and family, it's also through goods/services the max I can send $5.99 :/

 

Have you or someone else been making chargebacks on your Paypal account?
May be the reason why it's giving you problems

 

Nope! Just made my account yesterday actually (Brand new student account) and no, stop calling or interpreting me as a scammer. I called paypal and they just said "its a intenral security issue because your brand new". :/

 

Well i think you just need a little bit more time and the issue should be gone. if not try to contacting paypal and ask how could you solve this issue.

 

Ya it turns out I was placed on some lock by internal security, but now the lock is released -got some random guy in Ireland who helped me SO much-.

it sounds like a problem with account itself, contact PayPal directly. Their customer service is quite awesome actually

 

I sold an iPhone 5 as soon as it came out on eBay. Sold it with a tracking number to someone in China. As soon as it said it was delivered I got positive feedback and then he chargebacked and I was out $500 and an iPhone. Paypal support said "Should have known not to sell it overseas." Ty paypal.

 

Ooh ouch... Sorry about that man Some paypal representatives are pretty cool, but you get a couple who are very strict and don't know with their doing.
Start out with "Hi mam how's your day going?" -sound very polite, as they get customers who don't give a damn about manners "surprise them and make them feel cared about ".

 

Im underage and I didnt provide any credit/bank/SSN to PP. I feel good and I've never had a problem with PP so far so Im quite happy with it but I still use Bitcoin to be on the safer side.

 

One of the reasons why i hate paypal. At some point you WILL get into trouble and end up losing your account/ cash..

 

Ya I feel as if somehow some worker is going to end up seeing a "note to buyer"/ look up sythe.org, BAM ITS A BLACKMARKET SITE. I think when "Oh he's my friend!" "He lives in Finland" "And..?" Hahaha
