[Hearthstone] Mage Arena Draft

For the last 6 or 8 Arenas I've done, I haven't had the chance to pick Mage. Apparently, Mage is currently the most picked champion for Arena.

For my very first pick, I had the choice between Archmage Antonidas and Sneed's Old Shredder.
I chose Archmage Antonidas and hoped I would be able to pick up some mechs.

Forgot to include this. Not the greatest, but not the worst either.
I feel it has insane late game potential if I can keep up in the early game.

How many wins do you think I will be able to get? I'll post an update after I play and some predictions have been made. ^_^

 

Nice deck, you will have to play a ton of control prior to turn 7, which might get really difficult if you get stuck with your late game cards. Don't be afraid to 'waste' your removals, especially with bomb lobber, big game hunter, + 2 polymorphs. Ice block and the kobolds are really the only bad cards. If you manage to hang onto your spare parts from the Yetis and clockwork gnome, Antonidas is a game ender.

The problem is, there's no draw in the deck at all, which will likely end up with you having no cards in your hand since you will have to focus on removing the whole time, and you don't have enough big minions to get a good board presence then. Priest will be a difficult match up.

I feel if I'm able to get to turn 7 (with coin) or 8, I should be alright. The deck lacks a bit of early game, and I'm not entirely happy with what I have, but I'm going to try my best.

I was hoping to pick up some Mad Scientists, but I picked the secrets not only because they were the best picks at the time, but also due to having such low 3 drops. I don't have a silence in this deck either, so I'll have to rely on the polymorphs to help out.

Leper, Arcane, Geomancer and Ice block are a big WTF to me, but otherwise it's a decent draft, although I would've considered picking someone else over Archmage with those cards [although I don't know what the other options were].

Could go 5-6-7 wins. I really hate to see an Archmage with no low drop spells and I can't overstate how much Ice Block sucks in Arena imo.

 

If you read the original post, you would see the option I had instead of Archmage. Also, there is synergy with spare parts and the amount of spells I had. I also explained why I picked the secrets in previous posts.

Had this as my starting hand, but I discarded it. Got all late game cards again and ended up losing to a Shaman.
