I'm glad they caught him so quickly.

 

Glad they caught the sicko who committed that disgusting crime.

Wouldn't be surprised if his lawyer pleaded insanity, even though it's an obvious hate crime.

 

It'll probably be denied. Insanity pleas don't get by too often anymore.

 

It's an awful case, and I hate to see so much racial violence in such a short amount of time. There's no way he's getting off with insanity. If we're lucky, he'll rot in prison and be thrown in on the black side of the prison. He doesn't deserve death as that would be too easy. Nine lives? Disgusting...

Sure, as are many things. It still doesn't take away from the motive, and by definition, it's a hate crime.

 

Ironically, the state senator who was killed in the shooting had voted repeatedly to ban guns from churches.

 

I strongly believe hate crime laws violate the first amendment. I actually think it is a pretty blatant violation. This dude was really fucked up but hate crimes are still bullshit.

If he was a muslim he'd be labelled as one without a doubt. I'm glad he was arrested and not killed. Let him rot in prison while the other inmates do whatever they want with him.
