BladeBro, evidently you do not perform any checks before banning, so let me list a couple checks you could have performed:

• Perform an IP check and establish whether or not there has been a significant change.
• Check my posting history and/or behaviour and establish whether or not there has been a significant change.
• Contact another member of the staff - I am still in contact with at least half the team
• Contact me directly - you know I'm in contact with half the team. It would have been very easy to contact me and ask for verification as to whether it is or is not me.
• Check your own "facts" namely the following: "James doesn't even play RuneScape" - What the hell is wrong with you. We haven't spoken in a VERY long time. To make assumptions about the way I'm spending my (free) time is simply idiotic. I'll have you know that I'm in the top 3K OSRS highscores legitimately and besides that pay my rent by farming gold and selling accounts.

Honestly, have we come to the point where we don't even check for proof any more and ban straight away ?! I understand that you want to act was when presuming one is hacked, but to not do any checks AT ALL is unacceptable.


Your have scared several of my customers to death, some of them might not even return, and therefore, my business was directly hurt by your utter incompetence.

I did an IP check. No match.
Based on this, and the fact that over a dozen ex-mods have been recently hacked as a result of DB leaks or otherwise, I banned you as a precaution.

No reason to get butthurt, have one of the staff verify you're James and we'll unban, fairly simple.

 

Confirmed it was the real James; ban lifted.
