Counter-Strike 1.6

Hello fellow sythe members! I was just curious if any of ya'll still played 1.6? In my opinion its still the best CS out to date, but you could say I'm kind of biased

 

I have over 3000 hours on steam to that game. Jesus I spent too much time with it.

 

I get on from time to time and dick around on it. I don't play it like I used to though.

Used to play CAL back in the day, made my way up to CAL-P before I had to quit due to IRL commitments which took priority.

 

I've played it now and again but it's difficult to play a dated game you didn't play on release. CS:GO is easier for me to get along with and play, don't even touch Source.

 

Loved that game, have thousands of hours clocked on 1.6 -- Games dead unfortunately

 

dead how? i play every day and its flourishing.

 

I don't recall playing it.

 

1.6 is not dead yet, it still averagely peaks around 30k players every day.
I personally play it now and then, just fucking around in FFA servers and Hide and Seek servers.

 

I still play 1.6 around 2-3 times/wk. Actually prefer it over CSGO or Source considering how messed up MM is with Valve going all supernova with banwaves > Steam Sale w/ CSGO @ $7.50USD > Kids hacking > banwave > repeat previous steps. And source, it's like everyone is using modular wallhacks which unfortunately cannot be detected by VAC.

So yeah IMO 1.6 > CSS > CSGO. Don't even know what happened to Condition Zero hah

 

I completely agree, however I haven't had the chance to play CSGO yet so I should not bash it... but I will forever live on 1.6 hahah

 

Well, I don't mean to brag or anything but if you're an old timer on 1.6 with decent skills then you'll pretty much destroy more 50% of all the GO players today.
I don't only dislike GO for the hacking issues they obviously have, but players on GO are so salty it's embarrassing.
