Nvidia Gtx 770 Stopped Responding

Very commonly when I'm playing games (Rust, CSGO, Skyrim) my computer will do one of three things. Black Screen while looping the last sound, Close the game completely after black screening, or Completely turn off. This problem sprung up probably 4-5 months ago and has been getting worse as time goes by. I get this error from my computer sometimes when this occurs

I originally thought that the problem was because my cpu and MoBo couldn't handle the games I was playing, however, I recently built a computer with a new MoBo and Cpu. The only thing borrowed from the old one was the 770.

MoBo: Asus Z97-A
CPU: Intel i7- 4790

I've tried moving the Gfx card to another slot on the MoBo, allocating more power to it using EVGA PrecisionX, Updating Drivers/reversing back to old drivers, and replacing MoBo and Cpu.

Is the card broken? Is there some problem in the recent driver updates by Nvidia? Or is there something wrong with my system?



TL;DR graphics card will black screen/shut down computer quite often when playing games, even at low settings. No idea why please help.

550W PSU???? You may be pushing it a bit over the limit with that dude.

Along with an i7 and (most likely) a high-end motherboard, you're more than likely not feeding it enough power.

Also, if that screenshot was taken today, your GPU driver is very, very out of date.

 

Thanks for the info on the PSU, I'll look into getting a more powerful one and see if that fixes it, can't believe I didn't see this earlier.

As for the picture, I am posting on a new system so I just took that pic from google as it seemed to say pretty much the same thing.

Edit: What Wattage would you recommend for a system like this, considering I'd like to crossfire a gtx 550 into my system in the future

 

using a power supply calculator, that supply seems like it's sufficient. Did you notice this problem happening from day one after you got the card, or after installing a certain driver? I'd try removing your current drivers and starting with a clean installation and see if that helps.

2 things here.

1) It's SLI, not crossfire. Crossfire is the ATI equivalent.
2) You CAN NOT SLI differing cards. The cards MUST be the same model.
