    Answering all military questions (US)

    Hello good members of Sythe!

Now before I explain this thread I would like to state that this thread is not to debate if what the U.S military is doing is right or wrong. I cannot answer these questions as I am bound by my contract but also I will not answer these questions.

This thread was simply made to answer anyone's questions about the military, specifically the U.S military since I only have very little knowledge of other countries militaries. ( I served with the Australian Marines for 6 months, the Philippians Air Force for 3 months, and the Royal Marines for 9 months)

I have found over the years that most people don't really know what really goes on in the military. Either they think everyone goes to war with a gun and dies, or everyone in the Air Force flies some sort of aircraft. This isn't the case what so ever. I will Reserve the next post to explain the difference between the Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, and Army.

I personally am serving in the Marine Corps, and have been for the last 4 years and a few odd months. My father served 18 years in the Navy, my older brother gave his life 6 years into his Marine Corps career and my little sister currently is 2 years into the Air Force. So I do have a huge understanding of every branch and I even went to MOS school side by side with the Air Force and Navy. So rest assure what I tell you will come from experience and not something I've read online.

I hope I can give everyone a better understanding on what goes on inside the military and maybe even give some of you younger user the confidence you need to go and talk to a local recruiter.

I am not sure this question has to do with being in the military. Unless you think everyone has a Top Secret clearance with direct links to the Pentagon. Because if they where real I doubt anyone under a Lt. Gen would know about it.

How did you supposedly serve with 4 different countries militaries?

Sounds like a big crock of shit to me buddy.

Edit: in fact for foreigners to join the Australian military you have to be a permanent resident willing to apply for citizenship. To be in ANY military in the UK you must be a resident for 5 years minimum.

Also Philippians is a book in the Bible not a military. You meant Philippines, someone who served in their military would know that. Apparently the outright don't accept foreigners whatsoever. On top of all of this I sincerely doubt you are even US military considering what you've lied about thus far, 3-9 months isn't a proper term at ANY of the militaries you listed either.. Id sincerely doubt the US recruits people with 3+ discharges.. Let alone people with 3+ ties to foreign militaries.

Sources: www.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_militaries_that_recruit_foreigners (can skim this one and see you're full of shit)

    tl;dr you're a fucking liar.

Oh...... children. Its called going on joint Operations, look up Balikatan 2015. I bet you'll see an article of the US military on a joint operation in the Philippines (sorry i misspelled). I didn't serve in those military I served with. Maybe if you read my thread you'd see that. But its okay I knew someone would try to call me out! Operations can last anywhere from 15 days to 45 days, and you go on an operation (well depends on unit) but about every 2-3 months.

EDIT: I can see how it you can take that as me saying I was in those militaries. The wording is odd. WHen I say I served with, I ment that i've served with them on operations.

You can tell alot, I mean there are a few things here and there that you cannot say. But for the most part you can be pretty open.

No not at all. Like I said the military isn't everything the movies cut it out to be. I do not have a combat MOS (job) im not a grunt on the front line. I am just doing as the rest of my family has and serving a country that has granted me so much freedom (born in Poland) I even find it awkward when I get people thanking me for my service like i've actually done something. In my eyes I'm just doing my part in life.

EDIT: And hopefully this thread doesn't come off this way. I honestly made this thread to help clear up rumors / common misconceptions on the US military. I am not trying to brag / be framed as a hero in any way.

You misinterpret the tone of my question. I wholeheartedly disagree with the military and the idealism that goes along with it. I thought by chance you were one of those self-righteous puppets who think they're a superhero or a being of higher power because they risked their lives for an unnecessary cause.

Ask Ryan or someone who has/is actually serving, they don't make much but have pretty good benefits.

I live in the Philippines, I had someone meet up with him to do an IRL trade since he wasn't allowed to go too far from the base to send the money. Don't bother trying to call bullshit.

My question would be a little more personal. What's your favorite and least favorite things you do/experience.

I totally understand man, I wish I still had my brother with me and he never picked a hero MOS (he was infantry). I just picked to serve I am a 6842 Which is Meteorology and oceanology analyst. So basically a weather man. And if you think im lying look at my IP I bet it says im at MCAS Iwakuni. Which is a Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan.

    As for Naxious,
Google enlist military paycharts, every branch gets paid the same its based on your rank and how long you've been in.

    from harris69 sad af op.

    stolen valor.

    very sad.

    af

I can get on skype in uniform and answer any question you have about where I went to bootcamp, the Marine corps hymm any random marine corps question I can handle

    From Spyder69
    MOS?

    6842 bud.

    From 94barrage
im calling bullshit on you, by contract it never says anything about helping people into the military with a "debate" so youre full of shit pretty sure in my contract it says nothing liike that, also google answers almost any questio

I can answer most questions. I cannot answer like whats the average altitude a f18 flies at out of MCAS Iwakuni, or have I done weather for the boarder of Korea. Re-read your contract.

My favorite things to do are go on these operations and serve with other countries militaries, because you can see just how little they have yet how much harder they work to be on that same level as the US military, some even trained 10000% better. It makes me want to train as hard as I can to try to get on that level.

My least favorite things are funerals, makes the military seem all to real. Makes me feel like I could easily die tomorrow.

I just went to a recruiter, the colleges are for becoming an Officer which I am not I am enlisted, and most military schools are to shape up your behavior as a kid.

As I said before, I just felt like I was next in line. Everyone in my family minus my mother has served at one time or another. Felt like it was my turn. That and I had a few people tell me I wouldn't make it into the Marines Corps, and if there's one thing I hate its when people tell me I can't.
