Hardware essentials with a botfarm

Just looking for a few extra dollars each month, mainly to pay my car bill. If the operation is successful, I'll go from there.

To kick it off, looking at purchasing a Desktop Pc, 12gb RAM, 2TB hard drive, Intel core i7.

After estimates I believe I need to run 3 bots off my computers memory along with a vps capable of 2 bots.

Is this possible with the computer specifications listed above?

 

3 bots is easy on a computer with those specs, you can probably run much more, though it depends which bot script you're looking at and what you're botting exactly. But yeah, 3 bots on that computer, and you could easy browse the web or something while those bots are running.

 

On my vps, using
4GB DDR3 RAM
2 3.4GHz Intel E3-1231v1 Cores
64B 7200RPM HDD
I'm running 7 bots.

 

It depends if its normal mode or looking glass/mirror.

Goldfarming is not that easy nowadays, so i suggest to try with one account before jumping into deep water.

 

What makes it any different than previous times?

Are you speaking of ip interest on Jagex side?

 

On a high end i7 like a 4690k you'd be able to bot 15+ clients...... If you're buying a higher end i7, I wouldn't worry about running 3 clients. You can actually downsize to an i5 or amd fx 8350 for only 3 clients and even then it's overkill.

 

The thing is that I only want to run 3 clients off of my ip.

Every additional client would be run from a vps, so would 3 clients + x amount of vpn's, be possible with the i7?
