Will the 07 dollar ever be strong again?

Are there any upcoming updates that might push up the price of 07 gold? I've been holding onto a fair amount for a while hoping for a better price. How long until things change and will the price ever rise again?

 

There may be short periods of increase in gp due to updates/summer/promotions, but in the long-term, gold will decrease as less players play and more gold is produced in the game

 

I highly doubt it. The prices dropping is bad, with gold prices dropping, ingame prices increase. Some rich dude needs to buy all the gp everyone has, and just get himself banned. Refresh the Economy a bit.

 

I don't think it will be "strong" again, not like it was previously. Gold prices will mostly go down as there is more gold in game but there will be periods when gold may increase a tiny bit but no significant increase. To be honest, I'd just sell whatever gold I had.

 

I doubt they will increase much more, if it did increase it would probably be within the next few months during the summer when everyone is off school and has more free time to play runescape.

 

More RWT/Botting bans from Jagex will also increase gold prices, but overall its in jagex's hands to increase playerbase to increase the value of the gp

 

It should increase a little bit or at least stop going down around the summer.But overall it will keep going downhill.I would wait untill the first spike in price and sell it all.

I was hoping that more kids playing at the start of summer would mean a small spike at least. Does anyone know what the price of rs3 was two years ago compared to now? Has it always declined?

 

Great piece here! I think with that said the osrs economy is always going to fluctuate. More and more gold is out there and not enough players... 2007 imo is very underrated at this time or people just don't know that it's back. Tell your friends!

Almost definitely not, I would get out while you can. As more bosses are introduced w/ out gold sinks, more gold comes into the economy resulting in devaluation. Macroeconomics 101

 

just hope for another bot nuke and when that happens dump all your money.. that will be its peak, but other than that it will just continue to gradually decrease with time. slowly but surely

 

depends on player amounts, would say wait for mid summer.

 

they just went about adding a new anti cheat person to 07. So more gold will be taken out, but i doubt it will make a inpact on prices.

 

Are the bots in game currently very profitable? It was to my understanding that jagex was on top of banning most of the bots after a day or so. What type of gold sink are you talking about?

 

Most of the bots these days are getting banned. Hopefully, as summer is starting and more kids start playing along with these RWT bans and bot bans gold starts increasing again

Would love for them to dude huge bot nukes and ban load of rwters just so I can sell my gold lol. If oldskool had it's played base suddenly jump though it's a possibility it could rise a little, however that's really unlikely

 

they will keep dropping not enough buyers.
