Is it worth coming back to Old School RS?

I haven't played in 4-5 months. I would like to say that the reason I quit was that I got bored but the truth is that I staked all of my bank and lost it all (400m+). I've been considering coming back to the game and possibly buy more than 200m gp via RWT to go back to where I was before. I would obviously not stake ever again.

My question is, is it even worth coming back to the game? what is the state of it? the economy/community/updates/servers stability etc.

An extra question, do you guys think that the gp price will continue to drop or will it rise over the summer?

 

last month there have been epic dc's on runescape, like at least 5 times per week when you cant play decent for an hour. thats fking shit

 

I don't see gold rising significantly. 07 is fun though, there's definitely a steady diet of content coming out and there are lots of people playing

 

Gas goes up, gold goes down. Gold prices have been dropping lately. Wouldn't be surprised if the gold prices dropped to $1.5/m

07 Community is generally much better than Rs3.

 

I would recommend coming back for sure, the updates coming out these days are fantastic, the player base is wonderful, the combat is not shit unlike other games, and other than the non pleasant site of the gold rates dropping everything about RS2007 is amazing

 

I have a full time job and came back to just play in any spare time I get - which I would definitely suggest. I haven't been bored once, although I imagine if I played for hours every single day the grind would become too much.

For a bit of light casual playing, definitely.

 

Community is really mature and great.Updates are really nice, couldnt say so about servers.Just give it a shot, get membs and you will see yourself

 

If you're up to PVM and things like that you should.

It's definitely worth the come back! I've been off OSRS for years and knowing how the brought 07 back with the old pking style its gotten pretty live. If you enjoy pking f2p or even p2p pking you'll love it! Talk to your buddies, and find something to get excited about! GL bro!

 

I think you should try coming back. Gold prices are dropping and the game is constantly being improved.

 

Come back bruh, i decided to start playing again.

 

Make an ironman if you have some spare time. It can be fun.

 

im sick to death of the game but depends on your interests and your spare time if you have plenty of spare and dont get annoyed easily join back up

 

good community gold is somewhat stable, game constantly has new improvements.

 

If you enjoy the game and have time to play again, go for it. I would say that there hasn't been a big, significant change from updates during the 5 months you left, so there's that.


As for the gold prices, there has been debate whether the price will increase, or continue to fall. Personally, I don't think the price will increase over the summer.
