Windows blue screen of death with new graphics card

After installing a new driver (update) for my graphics card, I suddenly got the blue screen of death telling me there was an error and something to do with "exception service" or something. After that, I tested stuff and it seemed like it was the graphics card and my friend told me that I likely fucked it up while doing the installation of the new driver. I sent the card in for warranty replacement, and just got a new one. I plug it in and it does the exact same thing.

It works fine when my monitor is plugged in to my built-in graphics card (on the MoBo), but otherwise I get that error. Anyone have any idea why?

when you get a blue screen, it'll give you a code of number or whatever and write it down and google what the problem is.
Or go into device manager and try uninstalling your display drivers for that card and try the process again.

As suggested above, try to do a clean install of your driver. If that doesn't work, try not to install the newest but search for the most stable version for your driver. I remember I had the same issue with my nvidia card a few years back. I've solved it by installing a stable version.

Thank you so much man, this ended up working.

If only I asked you before I spent 2 months waiting on warranty stuff.
