Need training tips.

I'm starting a new main, and apparently RS has changed A LOT since I last played ( 2011 ). What are some good tips for speed training for a new character?

Well questing is always a main part in new accounts mithril gloves i would for sure get that first, same with waterfall quest > 30att/str do all the quest that give xp that are easy at first

 

What you pretty much need to know about EOC now is that you don't train magic or any other combat stats with alchemy or stuff like that anymore.

Just kill stuff, a lot faster and more efficient.

 

Wait really? High Alch no longer the preferred method of training magic?
What exactly would you fight to gain faster exp? Curious as I'm starting on a new account too.

 

High alching isn't really great xp, it's just very afk so it's appealing. But yeah, if you meet the right requirements (stats, quests, etc), there are methods like abyss training (also very afk) or glacors which are both great xp/hr (450k+).

That being said, lower level training has limited options. Without the quests and higher stats, you wont be getting insane xp/hr, but it's still pretty easy. Killing anything will work for the first 30 levels or so, and slayer is always a great way to train.

Honestly? Just start by questing a lot and using treasure keys which will add, mostly, bonus xp.

 

You shouldn't train Magic through alching as Magic is usually the priorty for slayer so magic is trained using slayer. Also like said above abyss is afk xp with blood spells at like 300k an hour.

 

Train every combat skill with combat and the rest, if you get up to a certain high level (for mining, its 89), you can just pretty much afk.

 

High alch was never one of the best methods to train mage. People just auto clicked or didn't know about other methods, i got 99 mage back in the day with the lunar spellbook, now you can just do quests and then level up on glacors using fire spells or something like that.

Make sure you do all the quests and skill requirements to do the quest "Plague's End" that will help you level so many skills easily
