I agree, being organised makes you more positive.

 

You're incorrect in the feeling that everyone is depressed every so often. Sadness is a normal feeling - everyone gets it, and to an extent I might even say it's healthy. Depression is not sadness; it's not just feeling blue. At its worst you feel absolutely nothing. In my case I have been dealing with that feeling to varying extents every day for years. It nearly drove me to suicide last year, at which point a friend made me see a doctor. It is a legitimate medical condition, not just a feeling.

I am doing things with myself: I'm a third year at university studying engineering, previously I have been a volunteer student leader helping first years as well as organising groups of international students on a weekly basis to exchange culture and speak English. I have a mentor with over 40 years of industry experience, as well as 3 degrees (Engineering, Science and Economics) who is very charismatic and who is at this point probably more important for my career than my actual degree. He also lets me drive his Tesla Model S, which might I say is an amazing drive (there's only like 20 of them around the place here atm, so it's pretty exclusive too).

I do plan to take next semester off or maybe part time at university so I can focus on getting some work and sorting myself out. As far as girlfriends are concerned, I've got a sort of FWB thing going on with a polyamorous friend of mine, and I'm on the lookout for potential partners, the main barrier is my aforementioned anxiety (something which smoking weed has helped me a lot with. I feel a lot more comfortable in my own skin since I started smoking it). Things are looking up, certainly, but I'm not out of the woods and I'm one breakdown away from seeking more specialised psychiatric help.

 

Honestly life isn't great atm. But it could be worse, so i'm grateful for what I have

Do I enjoy life right now? hmm, good question but my answer would be no because the regular routine consisting of school, work, and then when i have free time, game. School, work, and game is all I do in my life now. I don't go out much and shop around or hang out with friends. No time for that.

 

Hard to say. I currently have a nonchalant feeling about my life right now. I don't see that changing for a long time.

 

It seems to be a similar case for everyone.

Wake up, go to school/college/work, get home, sleep. Along those lines.. Life is harsh at times.

Sure, I understand that, but just because you're diagnosed with depression, doesn't mean others who aren't diagnosed cannot suffer from depression. I'm sure there's mild depression and serious depression which can stoop to levels such as the levels you've just described.

I've been cleaning and setting up a better living situation for myself as of late. It feels good to make progress I let a lot issues pile up but getting back on track. Doing so much everyday, finished my computer desk today, still need to clean a good bit, but its nice to have workstation i bought like 3-4 months ago set up

 

I do not enjoy life. No matter how hard I try, I can't be happy under my circumstances.

Quite a bit, just bought a PS4 for myself.

 

I feel like I'm stuck in a cycle doing the same things over and over. Sure wish I had more free time/money.

 

I'd say I'm enjoying it; I'm being productive as hell while keeping sane. I don't really like work at all but the money I earn get me closer to my investment goals. I work out 5-6 times a week so I'm also getting closer to my fitness goals and I also attend school so I'm getting closer to becoming an engineer. The daily routine doesn't make me feel miserable so its all worth it.

Lets just say I'm not giving up on anything. Recently moved to a snob school, everyone already has there "groups" and not willing to let anyone in. No matter what though, you can't give up.
