How come 07 RSGP is dropping so rapidly?

Wont be long untill it hits 2$/M, while like 1-2 weeks ago it was like $2.5+/M.

Is it because May is generally a quiet month or is it because there is a huge amount of rsgp entering the game?

 

Think it has something to do with the mod reach situation bills were entered into the game with the corp issue, and that's when prices started crashing, But who knows at this point.

 

im saying the increase in bots has something to do with it.

 

Dupes, Glitches, Bots etc.

 

does this mean, jagex has slowed down on cracking bots?

 

you can't expect 07gp to be high forever, the money in the game increases each day.

 

i think everything adds up

Bots, corp glith, Mod Reach, stakers getting banned at duel, GE, more gold in the game.

I think the prices should rise/stabilise around the summer break.

 

My thoughts are Bogla and Rainbow aggressively competing together is contributing to it along with all the above factors.

It's not that they're slowing down but more likely that bots are becoming more sophisticated.

 

The initial rush from F2P OSRS made the prices spike, which is also a factor in the decrease in price as well as on top of all the other factors this has to normalize too

 

mod reach had alot to do with it.

The fact that more and more coins come into the game while the player base stay mainly the same is one reason.

 

When supply is increased, prices go down and demand goes up because of the reduced price. Another factor that kept the RS' economy in check several years ago were the new players that were more likely to add to the demand than the supply. I can't say for certain that RS hasn't been getting as many new players as they previously were (look at WoW), but it seems that there are other games that are taking those new potential players.

 

rsgp prices go up and down all the time, rs3 was .25 few years ago, jump back to .35, and falling again.
OSR has dropped from 2.9 to 2.1, not really a big deal, it might rise back again soon.

I hope RS does something to increase their player base.

 

Its really close to impossible to attract breand new players, because of graphics and overall nature of the game.The most that we can do is to make old players comeback due to nostalgia.

 

07 gold is still the same price as it was 2 years ago. Gold went below $2/m within months following the release of 07 before they started combating botting effectively. Since then, the price has fluctuated between $1.8/m and $2.7/m. The 'flooding' of GP never happened.
