    How to lose fat around pecks

    I have a little loose skin/fat around my pectoral area.

    It's nothing big, just not hard, as i'd want it to be.


    How can I reduce the 'flab'?

    -Dieting
    -Chest training


    Anything else?
    I'm looking for fast results.. 6 weeks.

    The answer is this:

    You can't spot-reduce fat. The only thing you can do is lower your body fat percentage.

    To help the process, train HEAVY.
    This will add muscle fibers in the chest and help add mass to make them "pop" more.

    Also, I would suggest doing mostly incline benching as it builds the upper chest and gives it that 3-D look.

    I have low body fat, i'm not fat at all, and people say i'm stupid for saying I have pectoral fat. I haven't had enough time for the gym lately.. Sixth form through the day and work in the evening, barely got an hour spare. I just dislike the look of a little loose skin around the pecks and want a little more definition.

    Believe it or not, it's still fat. It just so happens that the fat around your pectorals are one of the last places you lose fat in your body.

    You might have gyno as well.

    It would help if you put up some pictures.

    Sympathetic is right. There is no such thing as spot fat reduction. However, pectorals aren't the 'last places you fat in' necessarily. Fat is dispersed proportionally around your body mainly depending on your genetics. Therefore once you begin to lose fat, areas of fatty tissue will reduce in size proportionally.

    If you have low body fat like you say, then training chest is the alternative. Don't need a gym or weights or anything. Just consistent push ups every night could do the job.

    Besides eating better and reducing overall body fat, excising your chest is the best bet. Pushups by itself probably won't do it. You'll need to start bench pressing and incline bench pressing

    If you only do pushups, remember to change to different kinds of pushups every once in a while. Otherwise your chest wont struggle enough.

    Increasing muscle size in the chest area will greatly reduce the flab and at least will help in some ways to make you look more toned there.

    I was just giving him something else he should be doing since you can't target fat loss.

    i suggest looking into body recomposition diet, sounds ideal for you if the only area with fat is your pecs.

    You can't phrase it like this dude. Proportionately it will be less fat to muscle but there won't be any change in the fat level in gaining muscle unless a deficit is sustained and fat is lost.

    I would say running man when i played soccer was the best shape i was in my life for my stomach and everything, sits up / bicycles will help a lot

    You'll have to lose overall body fat. Drink a lot of water and do cardio

    but you can shape up that area and make it cut

    Do lower weight high repetition work outs about 2 sets of 15-20 and do burnouts (low weight but so many repititions you can't do anymore).

    benchpress
    push ups
    pec flys
    and forward leaning dips (if you have the core for it)

    I'd rather have most of the fat in the chest since it makes it look bigger but since you said you are trying to get rid of the "flab", well perhaps you can try to put on mass and see how it goes.

    Definition comes from having sufficiently low body fat. and that won't happen by training his chest more. For a muscle to grow, you need progressive overload, and to consume enough calories to bring you into a caloric surplus. A caloric surplus no matter what will yield an increase in body fat.

    OP holding bodyfat around you pectorals will be genetic. Everyone's bodyfat is distributed differently.

    OP don't take this advice. Repetition range doesn't really influence fat oxidation. Losing body fat is entirely influenced by your dietary habits. For losing fat you need to consume in a caloric deficit.

    However some exercises are best performed in higher repetition ranges, for example cable flies. Why? The sole focus is maximize chest contraction and maximum chest contraction is relevant to the position of your humerus to your sternum. Cable flies allow this, whereas exercises such as barbell do not. High repetitions have their place, but they are not for fat oxidation purposes.
