    Working on my pure at the moment, currently the stats are as follows;

    60 Attack
    60 Strength
    1 Defence

    76 Hitpoints

    80 Magic
    80 Range
    44 Prayer (firecape)

    I'm currently 63 Combat.

My question is, I believe I have a very high HP level for my combat, is that necessarily a good thing? I can't help but think other pures my level have tons of strength/range levels on me.

    Am I wrong?

I think high HP is always better for pking, the only situation where lower HP might be good is for gmaul/dbow rushers imo

I'm always a big fan of having a high HP level, I think it's important.

    Much better imo.

I personally think the same, I think it's just in conjunction with my high prayer level at a relatively low combat that makes it seem like my stats aren't as good as others at my level.

Its more important for lower levels than higher levels. At 100+ combat as long as you eat to the same level its nbd. At lower levels its pretty important

For duel arena hp is the most important thing

You're right. Most pures at your level are 1-31 prayer, at least from what I've seen.

Over the years ive always liked to have high hp, although it may not seem like a difference it is.

I also think you got your attack to 60 too soon, leaving your strength relatively low for your level. Keeping it at 50 might have been better. I think now you should train more before PKing seeing as you already have 44 prayer as well.

right before i started splashing i was 59 combat and my hp was 78. Hp is really good imo. you don't want to fight someone and hit hard but cant take hits , everyone and there mom will call you a safer. i also agree with meteor, you need to work on your stats abit before pking.

I feel like it is. If you're a strength pure vs a strength pure with ranged. They may be the same level or 1 or 2 combat difference, but their hitpoints will determine that, and will provide a huge difference.

Low prayer high hitpoints is the key for pures ;D

It's expecially important on low level 1 def pures. Most PC prods get spec'd out on a dds spec. Having higher hps will give you an advantage once your opponent decides to pull out his/her spec weapon.

Why wouldn't high HP be better? Better for pking, staking, etc. The higher HP you have over your enemy, the longer you should stay alive for.

The only time I could see strength being a priority over hp is if your max hit will increase if your on the border of combat leveling and you have to choose between the two. Other than that, hp all the way.

Great discussion topic here man. IMO, obviously HP is very important for many reasons. You want to have a good balance for sure but you also don't want to get spec'ed out at the same time. So HP is a must and its a good thing you have higher hp. I do agree with meteor though you got 44 pray way too soon but now you just have to train a little more. You're not "deadly" for your cb atm. Good luck bro!
