The Lost Tribe - messed up?

Ok so last night I started the lost tribe quest.

I spoke to the duke, the cook, the priest, bob, donie and hans.

None of these NPCs spoke of the goblin. When I speak to either duke or sigmund I have the option to ask what it was I was supposed to be doing.

All the other NPCs do not have an option to talk about the cellar any more. Except for the cook who now wants me to complete recipe for disaster.

Where did I mess up? Is there someone else to talk to?

I have read quest guides and watched youtube videos but it doesnt help.

I have tried to go back to the beginning several times and talk to everyone again but like I said there is no 'talk about the cellar option'.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

 

Do you have all the requirements?
Try watching different guide videos and follow all steps or try the wiki.

 

yeah I have the quest requirements. I really don't understand why. It will be one of those things that I will be stuck on for days and it will turn out to be some embarrassing oversight.

no i havn't missed anything. its talk to sigmund or duke at the start then talk to the other guys in lummy. After I spoke to them I went back to the duke and that's where i noticed something was up

 

Go to the rs wiki and make sure you read step by step and have all required items

Exactly that.

Bring a pickaxe with you, go down to the cellar and use your pickaxe on the rubble. You'll find a brooch.

Oldtimer had the solution. But I have a new problem now

sI stole the key off sigmund and got the HAM. I spoke to the duke and he didnt give me the treaty.
I went to speak to the mistage anyway and he said he didnt steal the key. When I go back to talk to the duke, sigmund says that the goblins would say that they didnt steal it. My char says that I need to find better proof. But I already have the HAM robes!!!
