It does destroy you. Just like most synthetic/unnatural things people put in their body.

Yes but that was just to show some things it does. It doesn't need to be abused to see some of these negative results.

The same argument can be used for cough medicine.

Please don't try to engage me in an argument on this subject, lol.

So what if it can? That doesn't make it any less true. It's bad for you, case closed.

Lol. You're retarded. Keep being ignorant :) Here's another article that doesn't say you need to abuse it. https://www.muscleandstrength.com/articles/steroids-and-their-harmful-side-effects.html

And here's a quote from it for your "un-informed" self:

Your argument is moot. EVERY drug ever created has side effects.

The argument here isn't whether or not steroids have side-effects, the argument is whether they are considered "detrimental" to your body.

So, the question is, what are the costs/benefits?

The costs? Some shitty side effects.

    The benefits?

    • Improve physical appearance

    • Increase muscle mass

    • Increase strength and endurance

    • Train longer and frequently with unprecedented intensity

    • Boost sporting performance

    • Faster recuperation

To me, the benefits greatly out-weigh the costs.

And by the way, I'm not un-informed. My family has been in "the business" for three decades. I'm the most qualified person to speak on this on this forum. Thank you very much :)

You would be right, except that you're wrong. Unless getting pumped up muscles at the cost of your long term health is a good deal to you.

    Let me make a list.

The reward? Awesome muscles(Which you can achieve eventually without the drugs, at least to an extent)

    The Cost?
    • high level of anxiety
    • sleep disturbances
    • feelings of euphoria
    • high levels of paranoia
    • various stages of depression
    • extreme mood swings
    • changes in their personality
    • steroids can actually damage the eyes, resulting in eye infections, cataracts or glaucoma
    • Steroids also commonly affect the skin of the face and body by causing acne
    • high levels of water retention, creating a "round-faced" appearance
    • pattern/permanent baldness
    • heart disease
    • heart attacks
    • feeling of being nauseous leading to bouts of vomiting
    • kidney problems
    • High blood pressure
    • irreversible liver damage and cancers
    • Breast development
    • impair bone growth
    • roughness in the skin texture
    • yellowing of the skin and eyes
    • Impaired immune system
    • swollen ankles and fingers
    • enlargement of the prostrate gland
    • abnormal sperm and a decreased sperm count
    • blood poisoning with a higher risk of infection and infectious diseases
    • and much more

And these are things that can happen without even "abusing" steroids.

You may be the most qualified where fitness is concerned, but my family has been in "health" for generations.

I'm actually launching my own health blog and products soon.

This argument is invalid. You literally listed pretty much every POSSIBLE side effect. I could say that if you take too much cough medicine, you can get a list of 100 side-effects.

Most people barely get any of these side-effects you've listed, let alone ALL of them.

I know you want to feel like you're a smart guy, but do me a favor and at least lift a weight or two before you start to give such a bold opinion.

I never said they got all of them. But half of them, a quarter, a tenth? That's way too much damage just for a short-cut to bigger/better muscles.

I go to the gym very regularly :) 4-5 times a week. And even if I didn't, this is a argument about health, not fitness. I never said it doesn't make you have bigger muscles etc.

Keep up with your argumentative fallacies, they are entertaining.

    Not even a tenth.

On average, maybe 1, maybe 2? And it's usually the little ones like acne or something equally as minute.

For somebody who claims to know so much about health, you surely aren't well-informed. ^_^

Lol. No. They experience a lot more than that. I've spoken with many who said they were using it "responsibly" and were just experiencing too many negative things to continue. Not only has this been my experience talking with people, but many people online say the same. Not to mention the studies showing these results in users.

Another fallacy lol. Do you know how to have a logical debate/argument?

Considering I have upwards of 100+ friends and family members who actually have FIRST HAND experience, I would say that between me and you, I'm the more qualified one.

Your argument = "Talking to people + online articles" = Enough said.

Unfortunately, most people (including, I bet, everybody you've talked to) are extremely uninformed and don't know how to use them "responsibly" as you say.
