In 2010 or 2011 you could make multispaced names but they removed it.

 

Hi guys, not sure where to post this but basically I've been dealing with a few names that aren't able to be transferred for some reason.

I use bonds to release the name early and for some reason they are not available to take on other accounts.

Yet the account I release the name from is able to retake the name back?

Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated, thanks.

 

My understanding is that you have to change the name twice for the original to be available. Change it once and itt still holds the original name, thats how winallday could change between that and dayllaniw without people taking either name

 

Just to confirm this is what I did:

1)
Account 1 = Hello123
Account 2 = [noname]

2)
Change account 1's name so it becomes [Bye123] (Last known as Hello123)

Change account 1's name once more and it becomes [Bye123] (Last known as Bye123)

3)
Try to take Hello123 on account 2 but it says not available even though no one has it and it is not known as Hello123 on account 1.

It should be free when the name I want isn't even 'known' as a former name, but it's not and I'm not sure if I'm still doing something wrong.

 

Sounds like the name is bound to the account.

Trying ticketing JaGeX and tweeting them notifying them of the ticket. They will usually clarify for you, and sometimes even unbind it for you if you're lucky.

I'm not sure where to post this but here it is:

I have a name on my main that I want to transfert to a fresh account.

Let's say I change my name throught the rs website, then I use a bond again to free the name.

I'm at the step where I choose the name of the new account.
Can I directly choose the wanted name or do I have to first pick a random name then get the right name using a bond?
Is there restrictions to the names that a new account can pick?

So for example say the name you wanted on your new account was "Zezima".

SO - to clarify... Your main's name is "Zezima" and you've created a new account without a name on it yet where you wish to take "Zezima".

The first step is to make sure your main is members. If you're members and you can already change your name once for free, congrats this is going to be quick. If you're not members start off by getting it members. If you've changed your name already this month you're going to need an extra bond. So, on your main you're going to want to change the name from "Zezima" to something else like I don't know.. lol123. So you've changed your mains name once now and it's now called lol123 LAST KNOWN AS "Zezima". At this point you should ready your second file to take the name. Once you're all set up, use your bond on lol123/zezima to get another name change. Once you've done that all you need to do is change your name to something else and "Zezima" will be freed up into the open name pool at which point you can now take it on your new file ^_^ There is no certain pool of names that new accounts can take so don't worry you should be fine. If for some reason it won't let you take your name on a new account it's possible your name is bound to your main which means you need to send a support ticket into Jagex and ask them about it.


I hope I was of assistance (I know I was probably just rambling) but I feel like I gave an accurate description of how to do it. If you need any more help/tips just shoot me a pm or something.
