I've been told the same thing in multiple places, too. The people thought Semen = life, because it makes life. If you waste semen, you're losing a part of yourself.

yeah i think its fine as a private thing to do. not to be prejudice against Mormans but it sounds like the only people who don't masturbate are strict catholics and mormans.. with the exception of alot of married people/couples and a few here and there

EDIT: God is forgiving, and im sure it is bad in his eyes, but im sure he understands stresses, pains, and other problems people go through, and i man cmon, so many people do it, if it was THAT bad a lot more people would go to hell, which is why i think god would forgive someone for that

 

Drugs relieve stress and feel good as well.
And whether it's healthy or not is always debatable.

Seriously, who gives a shit. Some old man wrote that masturbation was wrong a couple thousand years ago. Does that mean it is wrong? It has been shown to reduce risk of prostate cancer, so it is actually healthy.

 

the Bible is the words of God (or thats at least what 52%+ of the world believes), so to state things to be sin or not through it would seem to be the most accurate.

masturbation has a similar affect to a drug or anything else that has an addictive trait. it can be highly psychologically addictive and ppl who suffer from over-masturbation rely on it quite a bit. i guess in that sense you could argue that it is wrong, but it all depends on what your definition of "wrong" is.
