    i am weakling Newcomer

    I need help with building biceps and triceps.

    I want to build my arm muscles. I have no idea how to exercise AT ALL. I am 24 years old, 5'6 and 135lbs. I want to build arms and abs.

    Note. I do not have any equipment or gym membership. I want to use my body weight to reach my goal. I might get a membership but not now.

    What do I do? What plan should I start? Thanks a lot.

    What a horrible question but just go to your local gym and get a membership and you already said that. What plan should you start? Just lift, eat like a beast and sleep like a baby.

    Invest in a gym membership. You're selling yourself very short with just body weight exercises.

    simple formula, there is no tricks about it.

    Bulk up and do push ups/chin ups every other day for a few months before going to the gym. You won't get much out of going to the gym if you're a twig. Speaking from experience.

    I'm gonna be honest, I wouldn't come here to get advice on how to get bigger or building certain types of body parts. Yes there are some with knowledge, but then there are some that are clueless but will still try to give advice.

    You're better off going to bodybuilding forums to figure this stuff out or google for an arm workout that looks legit. I would advise checking out The Rock Hercules Arm workout. It's a good one. That requires weights though. You won't get very built arms from just body workouts. Push ups, pull ups, dips are your best bet.

    You can buy a set of dumbells that are pretty cheap at Wal-Mart or something.

    I need help with building biceps and triceps.

    For biceps i just do alot of curls, whether its dumbbell or curl bar.
    Always make sure your form is good, as I've witnessed a couple of my friends with poor form hurt their lower back.

    And for triceps, I just do alot of two arm dumb bell extensions.

    Goodluck man! As always make sure you know your progress and don't overdo or put too much weight, it's not worth it!
    Also, true progress will come when you keep working hard.
    May take months depending on how built you already are.

    Going to have to disagree with you there. Two friends of mine/clients, who I have trained both started at the gym very very skinny unable to bench the bar etc. Both have adequate amounts of muscle mass and have both put on at least 20lbs of mass, and have both stayed relatively lean. The best thing you can do is start at the gym, there's no reason to stay confined to your home using body weight exercises, you're just selling yourself short.

    Tbh, you should get a gym membership. A buddy of mine was around your weight but he is about 5'11 super skinny and bulked up in 3 months at the gym.

    If you dont want advice from people on Sythe as Barton said, feel free to pm me for my BB profile and I can tell you the same thing over there. Heck, there are probably already threads over there about effective calisthenic exercises you can do at home. Ive seen incredible bodies from people that only do calisthenic exercises so you dont need a gym membership if you dont want one.

    First off, you will NEVER get the results you want using bodyweight.

    You need to, at the very least, invest in some dumbbells.

    Both of my parents are professional bodybuilders and I have been bodybuilding for 4 years, add me on Skype and I'll be glad to help you with whatever specific questions you have.

    Honestly when you're jsut starting you need a coach of some type. Hit up Sympathetic for his offer above. Good advice is very valuable, don't hurt yourself.
