    Bulking is very hard to stick with so if you decide to do it, make sure you stick with it!

    Anyone has some tips for gaining muscle and fat? I've always been skinny as fuck. I'm 200cm (6'7) and weigh like 75kg.

    Double your calorie intake. Your body will eventually be accustomed to the changes and your appetite will grow larger by result.

    Horrible idea.

    Most of the advice in this thread is horrible.

    @OP:

    You DO NOT want to just stuff your face with calories. What will happen is you will gain all of this fat that you will have an extremely hard time shedding off. Muscle grows slowly. You don't want to be a fat guy.

    Eat CLEAN.
    Eat a lot, but NOT more than 500-700 above maintenance.

    He has a fast metabolism. I myself do as well, and from experience can tell you that 500-700 calories above normal intake was not sufficient for me. I had to go upwards to 1200 if not double my regular intake which wasn't a lot by any means. He doesn't have to worry about burning fat as his body will do that by itself. Obviously he needs to eat healthy while eating more, I thought that was a given and didn't need to point out the obvious.

    @Gracienc

    Look up fast metabolic diets if you're curious on the type of foods you should eat.

    Your goal when bulking should be to do some in as little increments as possible

    Eat so your just above your maintenance calories for the day.

    If no weight is gained in the first week or two, slightly up your calories until you start to gain weight.

    Continue this process until you achieve your desired weight

    Just keep in mind when cutting down you should also do this in small increments.

    Sudden weight loss or gains can actually cause metabolic damage.

    Look up Dr Layne Norton. He's one of the leading experts on this subject.

    There's virtually no difference in a clean bulk versus a dirty bulk, like you're describing. Calories in, calories out are all that matter, as long as you're hitting your macros.

    If you're skinny with a low BF %, a bulk is a fantastic idea. Eat dense, highly caloric foods, and try to get a lot of protein. You'll be able to consume more calories this way. Lift HARD. Heavy weight, low reps -- 5x/week with a split. You'll see noticeable gains.

    bulking is the way to go in my eyes, it has a different effect on everyone on their body type, its if you like it. I would rather bulk then be ripped because its easier for one and i don't like to be shredded nor have I ever been

    I was also "skinny as fuck." I was at about 140lbs 6'1" and I stuffed nearly 3x in my face of what everyone else was. It's a high metabolism obviously.

    I'm now at 190lbs with a pretty good body fat ratio. Turned out the key for me, was to stop being so fking active. LOL. I played basketball and worked out for a total of 4 hours a day. That on top of my high metabolism wouldn't let me gain a pound. I quit the basketball and hit the gym hard only every day. I'm very happy with where it got me.
