07 gold price crashing?

In a couple of months the price per million has dropped at incredible rates, around 15-25%. Why do think this is happening?

 

It went up cuz of f2p and bonds then crashed down to what it was previously, no 'real crash' imo.

 

Because the infinity glitch out there, people made billions for killing corporal beast...

 

the prices were only high because of the release of F2P and after the hype was gone then it was bound to decrease the price of 07 gold

 

this is what i assume, more than 16B in drops entered the eco.

 

16B is insane. What % is that of the entire economy?

 

Probably less then 1%, but compared to the rwt economy, quite a big portion

 

This glitch didn't actually create any coins though.

 

I mean Mod Reach made enough to buy an Audi after dumping all the gps to a gold selling site.

 

Gold Crash is due to a number of things.

1. The corp invincibility glitch. Although it did not 'produce' any coins into the game, it still had a massive impact on the RWT market. Multiple Elysians a day were coming into the hands of RWTers and then being sold off drastically lowered the value of gold.
2. Recently at the Duel arena there was a huge chain ban. Many stakers were banned with lots of Gp, which normally would have raised the price. However in this circumstance some people who were not YET banned decided to sell off a mass portion of their gold in fear of getting banned. Many gold re-sellers were overstocked and had to lower their selling prices to sell the gold they had recently purchased, and lowered their buying price because they had too much gold.

Probably soon gold will go up by few cents back to normal.

Banned for botting, & the Donor rank was just hidden.

 

Don't forget bonds and the fact that the grand exchange has made it VERY easier to turn items into gold.

 

It should rise during a summer beak.However if looking for a big picture it will be going down over time.

I agree. Summer will increase the demand on gold, so prices should be rising soon.
