New to botting - have a few questions

So, as the title says, I am new to botting and have a few questions before I dive into it.

I've tried OSbot, Tribot, and Topbot but have yet to buy premium for any of them though plan to within the next few days. Currently, I am just planning on botting on my main (mostly combat skills to mid 80 range, the occasional noncombat skill to fulfill quest requirements, and a little PVM money making along the way hopefully). Though, I do plan to look at buying proxies and possibly f2p/p2p botting if that goes well.

Right now, I am trying to decide which one to subscribe to. I've done a little bit of research, but feel like still don't have a good enough understanding of botting or enough experience with it to make the right decision.

I. So far, from what I understand, the only benefit to getting premium are:

OSBot: access to premium scripts, multiple bot usage, proxy usage, and mirror client (from what I hear does little to reduce ban rate)

Tribot: access to premium scripts, multiple bot usage, proxy usage

Topbot: access to premium scripts, multiple bot usage, proxy usage

Is this correct, or am I missing something?

II. First off, I'm a little confused on what premium scripts are. From what I understand, there seem to be three different categories of scripts: free, premium, and paid (or are premium the same thing as paid?). It seems that the only difference between premium and paid is that in addition to paying for the script (which I am not against and am planning on doing) is that you have to subscribe to the bot's premium service. And, please correct me if I'm wrong, from what I've read on this forum and others, there is usually little difference between anti-ban measures between premium and non-premium scripts, though the quality of the script and what it does tends to be better and more complex. Yet, some people say that they won't touch a free script with a ten foot stick.

I feel like I'd get little out of subscribing to a premium service aside from proxy usage which I don't need as of right now.

III. How do the communities compare between the three? It seems like OSBot has some solid scripters but the devs tend to be a little bit unresponsive while Tribot is a little mixed. And, I haven't gotten a feel for Topbot yet as I just started using it today. (Not taking shots, just from what I've read on Sythe and responses between scripters and botters on the OSBot, Tribot, and Topbot forums).


IV. Also, how do the random solvers compare between the three? I've only witnessed OSBot dismiss a random and not respond to one when I did not have dismiss on.

V. And one last question; does anyone have ban rate data for any of the three bots?

Hello, TopBot currently has no limit on client usage for free users.

TriBot requires you to pay for the client itself, without premium you won't have client access afaik (unless you have a paid script).

Free scripts are accessible for everyone, premium scripts for everyone with a premium rank or higher, paid scripts are scripts that have to be paid for individually (regardless of premium status).

 

I'm a friend of osbot and many users say that the mirror client has reduced bans.

- The rival bot clients try and belittle the effect of the mirror client for obvious reasons... but I do believe that osbot are onto something...

(i have no connections to osbot - i don't get paid or w/e)

 

I use osbot mirror client almost daily 10hrs+ a day and have never received a ban.

 

I'd suggest you using topbot, they have tons of free scripts that run flawless, but if you want more, buy topbot premium, it's totally worth it.

 

anyone saying mirror cleint doesn't reduce ban rates is from another bot which their developers don't want to implement it. If you notice tribot is developing a mirror client right now. They aren't done yet.

 

There is absolutely no point in posting this kind of thread here. All you're going to get is a bunch of developers boasting there own bots.

The reality is, if you have patience and a bit of knowledge using Simba and creating your own bot is by far your best option.

Heres the answer to your question without boasting a bot (like everyone above me did)

I. You're correct.

II. I'm not sure which bot you're referring to in this example so i will tell you about Tribot. Tribot offers Free and Premium Scripts. To access the free scripts you have to subscribe to tribot and pay a monthly fee. You can purchase premium scripts from tribot without paying for the monthly tribot fee but are restricted to only running 1 premium script at a time (correct me if im wrong) Tribot premium scripts also come in packages... Some script writers force you to pay monthly, some are 1 time fees, some restrict instances by how many authorizations you purchase etc etc. For example a scriptwriter will only allow you to run 1 authorization/account per $5 you pay, so if you have multiple accounts you want running the same script you'd have to pay multiple times.

III. Tribot is incredibly corrupt. It's easy to tell just from reading the dispute section. They give there scripts unlimited leeway and the staff has proven multiple times that they're in it for there own personal gain.


IV. I believe all the random solvers are flawless seeing as you don't have to answer to them anymore.

V. The ban rates are completely arbitrary. Just keep one thing in mind, using any of these pre-made scripts ANY of them, you WILL be banned eventually. Maybe not the same time as everyone else, maybe you'll last a little longer but Jagex will eventually catch you.

Again, your best bet is to use a script no one else has (one you make yourself) or use something like RiD (whenever the hell it comes out)

 

I suggest not botting your main, you're better off paying someone to level it for you and keep it safe. Ban rates have gone way up.

 

I would say any bot is banable even if you use free one's or paid scripts.
I can only say be smart and only use it at places where are low bots and less checked by jmods.
I have been botting with free script on topbot and have like 7+hours/day 0banned

 

Just proves that the OSBot and TRiBot devs are shit and have to do something like this to stop detection. Even though most good devs have already gotten around it and are happily botting 24/7

 

It doesn't stop detection, just a way of tricking potential customers into buying their product.

 

Well, I shouldn't of said it that since it was a very sweeping statement. Although the mirror mode does stop a few methods to detect a bot it doesn't stop all method. At the end of the day it's better just to get around it within the bot client not doing this mirror mode.

 

It's pretty much done and in beta, just like the OSBot mirror client. In matter of fact, judging by the pace of developement, it looks like TRiBot might just be done with it before OSBot . You should really just stick to OSBot information, seems to me, you don't have much information on TRiBot and shouldn't be talking about it. (Not judging it on just this post either.)

From my understanding and what I know, looking glass / mirror client only makes it harder to for client detection. If ban rates are decreased using looking glass / mirror client, you have something else to worry about because in that case, the normal client is detected. However, this doesn't mean the looking glass / mirror client is useless. It is definitely useful to stop client detection that Jagex may place forth in the future.

AFAIK there is no client detection

 

Adding to this, TRiBot's Looking Glass went into beta testing about 2 weeks after OSBot's mirror client did. The difference with TRiBot is that information on Looking Glass has been hidden from the public.

Our product is stable and bug-free right now, and the [closed] beta testing stage will soon end. Here's a progress report of a user using Looking Glass, which demonstrates its stability:

The reason it wasn't for longer was because RuneScape updated. For those curious, the account was freshly made, F2P, and no breaks were used. The progress report was from April 29. The account is still alive (not banned).

 

The Mirror mode on OSBot has worked INCREDIBLY well and coupled with a premium script that has EXTENSIVE amounts of time put into it you can bot for quite a while without any fear of ban (You could still be banned it is still botting but the odds are incredibly low).
The trials given by the owners of the scripts are also a big plus.
And the UI is very nice <3

TopBot
Pretty confusing to use as well not that many amazing scripts.

These are the only 2 that I've tried but for a small user such as myself I would highly suggest the OSBot Client.

I'm not getting paid for this or given anything so don't try to call me out or anything.

 

Using the mirror client shouldn't change your ban rate at all (as stated above) if it does change the ban rate that would mean the client has been detected.

Bans are abritrary, some are lucky most are not.

 

IF YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE YOUR OWN SCRIPTS, LEARN SOME PASCAL AND USE SIMBA, IT'S COMPLETELY FREE

If you want some Java bots go with TRiBot after looking glass is public(I've been testing and I have yet to get banned with human mouse), or TopBot(Good API and low ban rates as far as I know).

Now these are simply my experiences and OPINIONS like everyone else here. Please try each thoroughly and see what works for you. If you find something that works, don't stress the others. However, careful botting on your main friend.
