[By hand]Main

I got a bit bored and wanted to try playing Runescape for real. My main back in the days was pisspoor and I never did much combat. I decided to make a main to do the stuff I never was able to. Did some Melee to start. Then got 60 agility. Then did a lot of mining (which I keep going back to). Tried my hand at the blast furnace and that was fun. Started leveling range and did some slayer. Did the easy Fally diary. Did some quests but I've never been a big fan. Handed out a fuck ton of money and shit to F2P noobs. Honestly at least 5M at this point. I did a bunch of merching for like a week.

Then a guy I met was doing cooking so I decided to get magic high enough to get cooking gauntlets and go for 99. Started @30 on 4/22/15.



God damn cooking is easy.

You got 60 agility by hand? That shits draining as.

 

A good way for early level combats I found by hand were green drags with wild loot bag xD made it bearable

 

Training by hand is hard...But keep it up.

 

I'm surprised the hardest skills is your highest leveled ones (Thieving, Mining and Agility). I don't play RS anymore, but I'm curious what it costs to get 99 cooking these days. The GP per Exp would be nice.

Wow training with hand, thats incredible. As for cooking, I've heard using a fire vs. a range causes more burned fish!

 

Rooftops are really not that bad. Except for Fally. Fuck Fally.

I dunno I like mining and I like motherload. Rooftops make agility not so bad. Thieving I did for the Abyss. Sort of same thing for mining. Agility is just great because it makes your run energy regen so much faster.

You also actually make a good amount of money with sharks. Raws sell for about 100gp less than cooked ones right now. Even at 80 and burning 15% I only lost 5k on 4,000 raw sharks and that's just because I dropped the price a bit so they would sell immediately.

Oh wow, I never thought I'd see the day where cooking earned you money, or basically get 99 for free. I thought it only stuck in the first month or so of 07 because not enough players could cook it and there was big demand for sharks to pk with.

This reminds me back when I was a noob and run energy sucked so much. You know when you're a noob and you're running all over runescape? Agility was truly a blessing when I found out how effective it was.

I had a life and didn't play at all yesterday so none.

I always assumed cooking would be a huge money sink which is why I never thought about doing it.

 

99 cooking.. never understood why getting an easy 99 is a thing for your first 99 haha

Have not had time to play much but I got 88 cooking.

 

I would recommend that you grind out 70 agility if you got time on your hands it would only take a day, maybe a little more but not by much, It's definitely worth it for the blue dragon shortcut.
